The best cod and chips I have had in a long time. Nice and crispy, not greesy, fresh fish, and very tasty. Chips followed suit, will definitely recommend and visit again to try the haddock.

Dropped in for fish and chips today following recommendations off Google. The place was very clean, the staff were very attentive(Thank you) and me and the good lady had large Cod and chips with curry sauce which was very nice and freshly cooked to order. I can confirm without any doubt that this place is well worth a visit for your seaside fish and chips 👌🏻

Down to Southend for Dexys gig (excellent!) at Cliffs Pavilion on Sunday . Free parking after 6pm (used to be 9pm huh????) now.. But Rossi Cafe stop hot food at 6..so googled Van Looy’s and had nice walk and warm welcome and great cod & Chips. Thanks for being open on Sunday!! If you want excellent fish n chips, in or out, just come here. 👍
