My husband and I ate here whilst staying at the Holiday Inn (the restaurant is on the 5th floor of the hotel) for a business meeting he needed to attend. The restaurant overlooks the runway of Southend Airport and as darkness falls the lights of the airport shine. It certainly was an unusual place to eat dinner and watch a couple of private aircraft and a flight from Portugal arrive. The food was delicious, service excellent from the waitresses who were attentive but not overbearing and the usual menu was enhanced by a 'specials' selection. We ate breakfast here too and although we're not particular fans of buffet service all the hot food was delicious and frequently added to with freshly cooked food.

Only had breakfast during a weekend break, self service type typical of these sorts of hotels these days. Staff were welcoming and attentive, food quality dependent upon how long had been sitting under the service area.

Lovely views, food was ok, wine selection good, very understaffed. Would come back though
