My husband and I ate here whilst staying at the Holiday Inn (the restaurant is on the 5th floor of the hotel) for a business meeting he needed to attend.
The restaurant overlooks the runway of Southend Airport and as darkness falls the lights of the airport shine. It certainly was an unusual place
Only had breakfast during a weekend break, self service type typical of these sorts of hotels these days. Staff were welcoming and attentive, food quality dependent upon how long had been sitting under the service area.
Lovely views, food was ok, wine selection good, very understaffed.
Would come back though

Very tasty Full English breakfast to help from the night before. Cereals for the kids, plenty of juice options. The bar looks like it would be fun for a drink in the evenings too.
Lovely meal, great views of the airport and surroundong area on a beautiful blue sky, sunny day - although not much if anything happening at the airport due to the Covid issues that we are all aware of.
Great staff and service - they are trying so hard and doing a grand job. Yes, we will be back!!

We held my dads wake here on the 4th floor . Staff couldn’t have been more helpful or attentive especially Jean who kept us topped up with tea. The food was top notch . Everything was done as we wanted and all the people who came to celebrate my dads life were very complimentary about the venue and
My friend and I had a absolutely smashing afternoon tea here yesterday. Infact it's the best we've ever had. We were looked after by Louie who was very friendly helpful and courteous.
Highly recommended folks most definitely worth a visit! 🥰
