I lived and worked in Southend for 18 months and this was my go to place if I ever fancied a takeaway.
The food was excellent, I can honestly say that at no time did I have any complaints about the food. Burger meals, fish and chips, chicken kebab, the list goes on!! All were generous portions to satisfy most appetites and all good value for money. Plenty of room to eat in, or take out if you prefer. I did both.
The staff were pleasant and polite, but the owners themselves were wonderful people. Nothing was too much trouble for them when it came to providing me with food. They were always welcoming and I came to regard them more as friends as opposed to someone simply serving me food.
I moved away recently due to work commitments, but I do miss both them and their wonderful food.
If you ever get a chance to pop in, do so. I feel you will not be disappointed. Parking nearby, and a stroll along the seafront. What more could you want than that other than great fish and chips afterwards!!

Hands down the best chip shop experience I've had in my life! (And trust me i've had a few!)
Everyone was so friendly and the food! Wow truly wow! Fish so fresh that you could swear they caught them moments after taking your order!

Possibly the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! Fresh fish fried to perfection and portion was massive. The tartare sauce pairs well with it and there was a generous amount (from a squeeze bottle). Accepts cash only, you must go!
Excellent fish and chips, huge portions and friendly staff and clean restaurant.
I had a large cod, chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and a tea. £12.45.

Amazing value for money £8.95 for a medium cod and chips (which was HUGE) salad, bread and butter, mushy peas or curry sauce and a soft drink. All cooked fresh with fast and friendly service. Only thing being the decor could be updated.

Nice place to try fish and chips for a reasonable price. Both freshly made while I am waiting at counter.
Fish was perfectly cooked large portions and very tasty.All cooked while you waited and served nice a hot. Would definitely eat there again.
We had the small meals, which come with a drink, plus bread and butter, side salad and either mushy peas or curry sauce. This was in the restaurant. For cod or rock and chips, this was £6.95 each and was quite filling. The service was friendly and efficient. Would recommend it.
