Come here for the first time tonight and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the roast dinner and the chicken nuggets, chips and beans from the kids menu. Everyone ate all the food and so was clearly satisfied with what they received. The young man who looked after us this evening was very helpful
Visited on a Monday night, was quite quiet which was nice, friendly staff and plenty of seating choice, ordered food via the app and came quickly and was really nice, all in all a nice visit and would definitely go again, good value food as well plus lots of drinks choices and easy parking on site.

I had the honey & mustard glazed ham hock which was well cooked & I would recommend for hungry people as it was a good size, the burnt basque cheesecake was also lovely.

This was the second time we’ve visited after 30% off mains vouchers were posted through our door. We find it really helps with the cost of eating out. I visited the saxon King last Sunday with my girlfriend and daughter for dinner and had a roast the meat was lovely none of it was dry the gravy was lovely and so was the potatoes, the only problem was the vegetables were on the cold side
They have a play area for kids which is nice and the desserts
Homemade kebabs were unreal 👌 brilliant service and attention to detail.
I love this pub! Always open, always warm and welcoming…. James is my favourite and so is the sausage and mash!! Parking is always available, the menu is lovely and the service is always with a smile. My favourite pub!

Overall it was good. Service was a bit slow though, but the food was good. If I was to make a suggestion for a better overall experience, other than quicker service, it would be to have a large round table available. When there’s a larger group of people, it’s very awkward including ding everyone in
The manager and staff were very accommodating in reserving a large area for a big group of us, going above and beyond what we ever expected. Service was brilliant and the food was really good - I had the roast beef - and I intend to visit again soon.
