Grosvenor Casino Restaurant

My first actual casino visit by myself, and it was exactly what I was hoping for. I was initially worried that I hadn't brought enough into the casino, but I was easily able to pass the time. When this place opened, it was 24 hours, but no longer. There are plenty of slots, roulette and other electronic gaming, but I found the most fun on the blackjack tables. I had the good luck of being on the table of a high-roller who decided to give his chips away to the rest of us on the table when he left; why exactly, I don't know. The staff were very approachable and well-trained, although I worry that some of them may be a little overworked. I didn't eat there, so I can't comment on what the restaurant was like. Overall, if you're more interested in serious gambling, then you go to the Gentings in Westcliff, but if you're only interested in casually having fun, then you go here.

Better than Genting, food for me was brilliant, but my wife couldn't eat hers as chicken undercooked. Staff were friendly, and they have done away with the 50p tables it seems. Went before 9pm and was quite empty. Recently revisited, again had the order mixed up, but it was very nice food. A waitress took our wines before they were finished and Connor the barman, actually saved them, so thanks to him. The guy above the croupier was quite rude when a token touched the line when the spin finished, I now understand why they have the rule, but the man could have been a bit more pleasant about it. Other than that it was a good night.

Thank you for an amazing night, we all had such a great time. Staff were fantastic and the food was brilliant, everything was perfect and a great venue for a team Christmas meal. Cannot recommend this place enough, the team on the reception desk were super helpful and we all had a very memorable night.
