Keralam in Southend on Sea is an absolute gem! The vegetarian food here is nothing short of extraordinary. Every bite was a burst of authentic Kerala flavours, and the presentation was impeccable. Adil and his team have created a warm and inviting ambience; their attention to detail is evident throughout. The staff's hospitality and Adil's personal touch make this restaurant a must-visit. I can't wait to return and explore more of their tantalizing menu.

If you are visiting Southend on Sea and looking for authentic Kerala food near to the city centre, then Keralam restaurant should be your first choice. It is a family run hotel that serves Kerala food for almost 20years. It is just 10 minutes walk from Adventure Island. The staff is very friendly. The food is cooked only after you place the order so you always will get fresh hot food. We tried Biriyani and it was really delicious. There is good space for multiple families to sit together. Highly recommended!!!

This is just the place for someone craving South Indian food. The flavoring and delicacy is just unmatchable. I recommend this to any Indian and local in Southend looking for some delicate cuisine. The server and staff is also very kind and nice, and the food is super fresh out of the kitchen, I went here again and had idli sambhar and as an Indian, this makes me proud, I recommend you go here if you ever visit Southend.

If you want REAL Indian food, this is the place to come to. The pickle selection with the poppadoms was like nothing I've tasted or had before. One was Apricot, sweet and taste bud burstingly tasty. My colleague ordered the rice flour stuffed with spiced potato. I went for chicken as a starter and a prawn curry as mains. Was a little hotter than I'm used to, but still scoffed nearly all of it because the taste was amazing. I highly recommend. Staff were also really friendly and took pride in their food. So they should! Pictures don't include mains as I couldn't wait before eating it to take a picture 😅
