Unbeatable fish and chips ! Great value, service and massive size ! Oh freshhhh every time.
A classically styled seaside fish and chip shop on the seafront. Albeit a little dated in its decor, they seem to have done the toilets up which is nice. I suggest they continue renovations as funds allow as the staff are very friendly and helpful and the classic unpretentious styling is a breath of fresh air.
The best fish and chips I've had for over 10 years! I must have walked past this place a thousand times because to be honest, it does not look amazing from the exterior.
It's not amazing on the inside either by any means but it has a lovely skylight right in the middle of the seating area which makes for a nice, well lit space to enjoy your food.
I thanked the staff on leaving only to be thanked for visiting (very modest) because the food was far better than I expected. The best fish and chips in Southend for me by a long margin.

Very nice fish and chips, perfect for grabbing while on your walk along the sea front. If you are wanting to sit in house, the seating area is a little tight and it can be cold inside, but the food is very good nonetheless,
Had to be one of the best fish and chips my family has tasted for a long time.
The large portion must have been a foot long,freshly cooked and very tasty.
In all the seaside resorts we have been to this year,these were the best.
Good food and value for money.
We had the most amazing fish and chips here. Massive portions. We honestly thought they served us shark for a second. Great taste and reasonable prices.

I had medium cod and chips.
She had sausage, beans and chips.
In her, youthful words, 'best I've ever had' (she says that a lot).
In my words, 'up there with the best I've had'.
Depending on what time of the day it is, you might need to queue. It's also compact and busy. But when you've order and paid, you sit down and wait for your freshly cooked food to arrive. It doesn't take long.
And like I say, for fish and chip shop grub, it's really very nice.
Great fish!! chips could have had 1 more minute a bit light for me... Curry sauce was lovely (a bit runny though) and sausage in batter was perfect and all of this on a Sunday thanks for the great meal guys!!
Food was lovely as always. Cooked fresh to order. Can't wait to be able to sit down and eat in.
I sat on the seawall to enjoy my takeaway. Large Cod and chips.
No upsell, which is a shame. Its worth asking customers if they'd like drinks or sides to help bring in revenue!
I do like a side order of chilli sauce and garlic mayonnaise to dip. Being offered a fork at least worth the 2p to buy, but fingerlicking good though....
Our Scouts did a chip shop survey along Southend seafront. A large portion of chips here cost £3. The Scouts enjoyed them thought they were good value, they were not too greasy, and reasonably crisp but a bit on the pale side. In all value for money.
