Used to be, effectively, my regular. As always, a warm, friendly welcome. Attentive staff. Fair priced drinks (for South Essex). A wet Saturday night Halloween event, with band AOB. Just very chilled, with rocky overtones. Standard menu, which from experience is perfectly fine. Specials menu looks lush. Enjoyed my walk down memory lane immensely. Won't leave it so long until my next visit.

Just popped in as driving past on the way back to London AND MUST say Lamb Sunday Roast IM SPEECHLESS worth coming back for. Mathew you're legend for recommendations and service second to none. Skipping Shard and happily driving back next week. Glad we discovered this little gem .

Food was excellent. I had chicken and ham pie. It was delicious. Staff very good. Friendly. Atmosphere OK but it was half term so a lot of children.
