Would actually give a 4.5. They had run out of panna cotta at 8pm on a Friday night. So unfortunately I can't give a 5.

Il Mondo is my favourite restaurant in Southend. The staff are super friendly and attentive and make you feel welcome each time you visit. And the food! So fresh and delicious and excellent value for money. Superb!

Fabulous staff, authentic Italian food with fresh ingredients and a great depth of flavour at a reasonable price. The staff openly state "change any ingredient you like" and that's a great bonus if you have kids. We really cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
Wow! What a find this place is - an authentic family run Italian which delivers on all counts. The food was incredible, all dishes absolutely delicious, proper portions and great value for money too.
The service was similarly excellent; warm, genuine, friendly and great hosts.
We had a great meal and will definitely be back, chain restaurant don't come close to the real deal, highly recommended!

First time at Il Mondo for my daughter in laws birthday after being recommended by a family member. I can honestly say this is the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to. The food was fantastic I had the Rack of lamb and it was cooked to perfection. There was eight in the party we all had starters main and afters. No one in the group had a bad word to say about food service or staff. The staff are a credit to the owners. It was a fantastic evening and we are planning another visit. The food was very reasonable priced and all food looked excellent.
This is an ideal venue for large group before or after a show or even a evening meal for two.
Tables was very well spaced out for privacy.
All in all a little gem of a venue. We will definitely be back.

A friend had dined here before and was so impressed she suggested we meet up for dinner. On arrival we recieved a really warm welcome. The food was exceptional and all the staff were lovely and very attentive. It was a relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced too. I would highly recommend a visit and I will certainly be going back
Fantastic place! Delicious food which is very reasonably priced. Lovely staff, and they can have gluten free pasta available! We will definitely be returning the next time we're in town.
