Prezzo

Just wanted to add a review for balance as there's been a few bad ones lately. I know they had to close a bit recently due to COVID staff shortages. We went for tea yesterday (Tuesday night) with low expectations and were very pleasantly surprised. Really friendly, attentive service, food came out really timely and hot, portion sizes and quality were great. Busier than we expected so actually a nice atmosphere and plenty of staff, we had no issues at all, the reviews seem like a completely different restaurant to us. Had a lovely time!

We ate in Prezzo last night and had a really beautiful meal. We both chose lasagne and shared a garlic bread. The lasagne was very tasty and filling. For dessert I chose Scillian lemon pie and my husband had tirimisu, both delicious. The young lady who is studying at a local college and plays football for Everton ladies was so friendly and chatty. A credit to Prezzo. Credit also to the young blond lady assistant manager. We had a really enjoyable time.

Me & my friend booked a table here back in may due to having an event at the Atkinson just down the road. We arrive on time and was seated pretty much straight away. When we were seated we were handed menus and was just sort of left to our own devises. 25 mins later we had to grab a member of staff to order drinks/food. As we gave ourselves an hour and half (which I would say is plenty time) we wanted to order stuff from the starter menu to come with the mains but the waitress took our order and rushed straight off not giving us time to ask if they could come out with the mains. The starters came out about 15 mins after ordering. They food was lovely that came out but it got to around 30 mins till we needed to be at our event they hadn’t took our starter plates away and we hadn’t even been offered another drink. I went to the bar to ask where our food was as we had an event to go to. I was told to go and sit down. I didn’t want to make a fuss so I did. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy but we heard a few people including a table seated across from us asking for their money back as they had been waiting nearly 2 hours for their food. The waitress who was speaking to them came across as quite aggressive and rude. After hearing this I explained we were going to miss our event so we would need to cancel our meals. The waitress who I spoke to was lovely and couldn’t apologise enough. They gave us our money back for the food we didn’t receive and just as we got the money back the food came out. She did say if we came back later on they would make it us fresh and apologised again. I’m not sure whether they were having teething problems up in the kitchen and this was the problem but the staff member that dealt with us was lovely, it’s just a-shame we didn’t have a good experience.

Got a Red letter Day Voucher from work and have been waiting to visit Southport so I could use it in here. It was Definitely worth the wait! This was the first time I've been to a Prezzo and hopefully won't be the last. All the staff we had contact with were both friendly and polite, the restaurant itself was a wonderful experience , Clean, modern, well laid out and airy. The menu although restricted due to my voucher was for me at least very good, I wanted everything on it! Thanks for a great experience 👍 😀
