I love a pub with polished copper! This is a real gem. They enjoyed the dogs too, which is a win for us!

What you call a proper pub. Staff was pleasant, beer good, about 6-7 real ales on tap not counting the usual lager etc. We didn't try any food, but plenty of people seemed to enjoy theirs. Great courtyard beer garden at the back

What a fantastic old fashioned boozer modernised to keep the original feel of the pub, great and cheap food and a fantastic cask ales, beers and larger with other drinks available. We stumbled across this gem and stayed for 3 drinks and a meat platter, cheap and great quality, we will be back again when next in the area. And the bar staff are on top form. 👌

Very traditional, dark-wood panelled pub with separate rooms. Great selection of cask ales, probably the best in Southport, but also plenty of other lagers and craft on tap. More of a drinkers’ pub than a family environment, but friendly staff and clientele. Would definitely return.

Like walking back in time! Fabulous wooden panelled interior, multi-roomed pub with a feature bar and up to 10/11 well kept cask ales generally from North West breweries.
