I've never been disappointed here. I had a superb piece of Haddock. The quality and cooking of the fish here is outstanding. We've just returned from Whitby where the town trades on it's reputation for great fish and chips but I didn't find anything there this good. It's a standard chippy with restaurant seats at the side. Well worth a trip out.

Nice place. I like the concept. You can choose takeaway or stay in in a pleasing restaurant with very friendly and kind service (offering homemade tartar sauce to go with the fish). You can get a beer or wine with your traditional and tasty meals. They even have the most fancy bill treats I've ever seen.

Had a lovely meal today. I had the cod meal and my son had the scampi meal. Both were delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful in making my first trip out in a wheelchair a pleasure, so thank you 😊

If ever in Southport and fancy a trip to a local chip shop then look no further, you will love this place, just a couple of minutes drive from the sea front. It is worth grabbing whatever takes your fancy here then parking back at the sea front to enjoy the view.....and the wonderful food you've just acquired from this great chip shop. They have a restaurant area if you wish to eat in or if not and you're taking away then they will give you one of their pagers, wait in the comfort of your car for your turn to collect. The staff are great, so polite and quick and the prices aren't too bad, it is very popular so at times the only queuing will be to purchase the food, that unfortunately is the price for eating at a very good chip shop.

My first visit here while visiting Southport I had a traditional fish and chips takeaway with the largest onions rings ever ever seen. Then on my second visit with the family we decide to dine in,at the immaculate restaurant. There was a considerable variety of dishes available to suit most taste and dietary requirements and a good children's menu with a drink & ice cream included. I decided to try the fish pie even though I don't like smoked fish but I was glad I did, as it was delicious, my partner tried the steak pie which he said" was the best he had tasted in a while!". Yes I agree with others on it being a little pricey but I wouldnt call the food here the your average chip shop standard and I like that it is locally sourced, so for me I am happy to pay that little more and know I am getting good quality food that's also supporting other local businesses. The staff are friendly and welcoming and there is plenty of free parking available and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible.

Had take away a few times and on the whole things have been ok. Only criticism based on many years of eating simple fish and chips, is they never seem to cook the chips for long enough. At times they have been almost anaemia in colour and never golden and crispy. So to achieve a 4 can I ask they give the chips 30 seconds longer please ?

Fylde Fish Bar is a little out of the way to find, but well worth seeking out. Whilst the portions may not be huge, they are tasty - the batter is light and not too oily, the chips have a pleasant crunch and the fish tastes fresh and not over-cooked. Disabled access is good with fully accessible toilets. It's pleasing to hear that they'll be opening a new restaurant on Ringtail Retail Park in the near future.
