Bar Mio

After running a few errands it was time for breakfast. We were close to Ainsdale and decided to head to Dukes. A little quieter than our first visit. Good open space with room around the tables. Additional seating at the bar and outside for those nicer days or those with pets. Good, well made latte to start followed by a breakfast sausage bun and scrambled egg. Tasty and filling. Good choice for breakfast or even later in the day.

I rarely write reviews but I just had to for this place. We stumbled across it while travelling in our van, literally parked right outside and had the most amazing meal! The food was SO GOOD (we had the hummus + swedish meatballs from the small plates, then the burger + the curry for mains). Absolutely incredible honestly, best meal I've had in ages. The staff were super friendly, one of the lovely ladies even gave me recommendations of where to parkup that night! All in all was a 5/5 experience, if I'm ever round the area again I'll DEFINITELY be going back for that curry 🤤

This has to be a 5 Star from me. If you get the chance go try the Sunday Roast Dinner do it... It was beyond delicious. The food was cooked to perfection. To start i had the chicken wings .. i literally didnt want them to end. Then the Gammon roast dinner … The roast potatoes were unreal, like propa homemade ones.(my mouth water writing about it).Then the eat & mess for dessert which was simply the icing on the cake .. The restaurant is gorgeous, the staff are so friendly and cant do enough for you. You walk away feeling very satisfied .already booked for next Sunday.

Stopped in for a pint after getting off the train from the match on Saturday. Looks really clean and inviting from outside. Inside again is really tidy with great decor. Staff are really friendly and the bar supervisor Connor was very knowledgeable and helped my wife with her non alcoholic drink choice (mocktail 🙄🙄). Beer was good and will definitely aim to stop in more often
