We called for brunch today, and received the best of welcomes. Food was cooked to order. The eggs were amazing. As a pescatarian I didn’t want bacon in my eggs Benedict but was offered alternatives. I chose spinach. It was no problem. Pets are welcome, which will be a big plus for us in future. Staff were lovely. I can honestly say that this was one of the most enjoyable meals I’ve eaten, and I’m well-travelled. Thank you all for your hospitality. Emma and Sue

I came in with my 12 year old today for an impromptu brunch (teacher strikes). I worked out with him I’d been coming here for around 20 years as I used to work opposite at the newspaper, and it’s not hard to see why it’s still open and still so popular. We had the eggs royale and a bacon butty, milkshake and oat milk latte. It’s amazing how many bad Benedict’s I’ve had over the years but this was up there with one of the best! Perfectly cooked eggs, lovely thick hollandaise and beautifully presented with a nice portion of smoked salmon. Thick doorstop bread for the butty and he walloped his milkshake too. The owner is still as lovely and welcoming as I remember. Everything amazing and will be definitely coming back again much sooner!

Me and my partner went for dinner today around 3:45pm. We ordered our food which was absolutely amazing. I had the 5 cheese ravioli and it’s the best pasta I’ve ever had. After we left around 4:45pm we googled to see it’s opening times to find that it had shut at 4pm and the owner had stayed behind to ensure we enjoyed our meal. I would absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be back. Thank you to the owner for waiting behind for us to finish our meal.
