Castucci's Italian Restaurant

Castucci's Italian Restaurant is a great place for an upscale dinner with a low-key atmosphere. The food is very good (no skimping on quantity either), and the prices are reasonable (especially considering the quality). There are a few good wines to choose from on their list. The staff is extremely friendly and professional - everyone is working hard! The dining room is a little small, so make sure to get a reservation.

This might very well be the best tasting Italian food that has ever been conceived. All of their food permeates every receptor in the brain and has a savory initial taste with an explosive aftertaste that gets the taste buds jumping around like a kangaroo. Edit. Went there for the 3rd time and it was stupendous. This is hands down the best Italian food in the whole state of NC. Update: food was amazing last time as always, but the service was terrible, and the waitress had an attitude. It's super cramped in there, they really need to expand it to a larger restaurant

Castucci's was amazing, the food the people every last bit. Our waitress was so kind and accommodating, the food was phenomenal. We had a horrible experience at the first restraunt Rusty Hook that we attempted to go to prior and this place truly saved the day and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to make our 3 year old feel so special. This will be a new favorite spot !!! FYI my three year old say try the meatballs ;) my porkchop was AMAZING, this as down home as you get it felt like I was at family's home having a meal made from scratch thank you Castucci. Ps. My daughter is showing everyone how to fist bump & jellyfish !!

Friends brought us here last night (25 June 2023). I had not heard of this place at all. Glad our friends invited us out to dinner. The building is small and parking is tight/limited. We had to wait to get a parking space. There were people waiting outside to get in. Must be a good place, I thought. We had 6:30pm reservations and ended up waiting almost 30 minutes. My friend was told two tables had not been cleared as those guests had finished their meals but were just hanging out. Hey, if it's a packed place with people waiting with reservations, how about some courtesy and moving on? Finally at our table, we ordered drinks. I had a tasty lemoncello martini. Their martini's are $14, al little on the pricey side, but very good. Other drinks that were ordered; a red wine, a Manhattan, and a dry martini. Everyone liked their drinks. Fresh bread and butter was served. For our meals, I had a special, a chicken sorrentino with proscuitto, sliced tomatoes, mozzarella and a light and flavorful marsala sauce; and angel hair pasta. Small Caesar salad too. DH had the broccoli rabe with sliced sausage and penne pasta. Friends had the eggplant rollatini and Veal Sorrentino. The food was fantastic! Big portions too. We all had leftovers! Yum! Our server, sorry I forgot his name, was excellent. Despite every table being full, we didn't wait long at all for our drinks and food. Overall, an excellent dinner with great service. I look forward to going back soon!

Highly recommend this delightful gem. Truly authentic Italian Food in huge portions and full of flavor. Service was wonderfully friendly and attentive. A wide-array of dishes and nice drink options. I had the Parmesan Crusted Grouper Special which was mouth-wateringly delicious. Flakey white meat, moist throughout with a crust of Parmesan and Romano cheeses perfect balance of herbs over a creamy risotto...WOW. Others had the Chicken Picatta, Eggplant Rollattini, Shrimp Francaise, and Chicken Saltimbocca Special. EVERY DISH IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. BE SURE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS AS LICALS TRULY KNOW OF THE CULINARY DELIGHT AND IT CAN FILL QUICKLY. I will definately have this as a regular event.

I cannot give this restaurant enough praise. The food is fantastic, the portions are HUGE, the staff are friendly, and the aesthetic is super cozy and laid back. The worst part about the nature experience is not being able to decide what to order because everything always tastes wonderful! Our personal favorites are the Veal Parmesan and the Gnocchi Napoli. The gnocchi especially has so much flavor that will give your taste buds a wake up call. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation😉
