Lemongrass Thai On Sundale

We came here with a Groupon as we had never been here before. The food was nice, except not much meat was used in the sweet and sour pork (that's the dish in the photo) it was all vegetables. It's a small dining area so not good for large groups. One man servings us was very friendly and nice. The young lady that served us was quite miserable and did not want to be there. Unfortunately she served us for the first half of us being there, I wouldn't go back.

Very dissatisfied. Ordered takeaway, very quiet. Ate meal within 5 minutes from ordering. Let's start with the jasmine rice. It was hard, clumped together and cold. It was leftover and reused. Pretty obvious. The tom yum soup was ok but oily and very sweet. Also had a beef dish which was so dry and tasteless, it was not even eaten. I was extremely disappointed with this food to the point where it is one of the worst experiences I have had with Thai food. Bland over-sweetened reused food the rice was absolutely ridiculous. Very basic food with above average price tag.

Ordered a takeaway (standard chicken & cashews chicken rice) $32.80 (standard price) however there was barely enough to feed a small child! Both containers were a little less than half full! As locals we eat there often but this was my first takeaway & my last! Food was tasty enough (no complaints there) but for that price I would have expected full containers & not an entree serve! Very disappointed & now they have lost at least 6 regulars! Also when you order something with cashews a few more than 8 would be expected! I know it’s a “tourist” spot but please don’t “rip people off”, especially your regular customers! Only wish I could include my photos, but there was little to see!

Here on holidays, kids were tired and so we decided to grab takeaway from this place and bring it back to the hotel. Food was reasonably tasty, not the best we’ve had. However the most disappointing part was the over priced menu for what you get. Very stingy on the meat, way more vegetables and they didn’t even fill the containers up. I also asked for a large container of rice and they gave me a large container that was only 2/3 full (basically the size of a small). It wasn’t nice having to share around such a small amount of rice when we over paid. Rice is the cheapest thing ever!! Why would you be so stingy!!?? Is it because we are tourists and we won’t come back?? Will never come back here.

Husband took me for a quick lunch and both had the lunch special...restaurant was completely empty. Heard "chef Mike" (microwave) working hard on cooking the meat which was completely rubbery and chewy. The garlic pepper sauce was ok but not great and to be charged $1extra for garlic rice that was over cooked and clumpy, so much so I could stab it with my fork and had a few sprinkles of "fried"garlic over the top is a bit rude. Very disappointing for Thai food which can be simple and tasty when done right.

We ordered green curry with chicken and it only had 3 small pieces of chicken, it was filled with bamboo shoots. We ordered pad ceue and the noddles was not available, offered a different type of noddles and the whole thing tasted awful. To make it worst we received one of the worst customer service from the ladies at the counter.
