I only occasiinally go to a chippie but I was really surprised how nice it was.
Some places you can tell its not the freshest and it kinda puts you off.
Steak and Kidney pudding was full of meat, gravy was really nice (some places its like wallpaper paste), and chips were yummy.
Nice and friendly too.
Deffinately come again when I want my comfort food.
PS even got Gluten Free all cooked sepperately. How good is that. Well done ! 😋

Had the gluten free battered sausage, onion rings and chips. Was great to be able to eat classic chip shop food as someone who can’t eat gluten. Was delicious.

Good food, freshly cooked. Lots of gluten free options available, and the gluten free fish is very nice. Staff were friendly enough and were apologetic after a disturbance from another customer. Went back later for a sweet treat! Would definitely come again when visiting Southport.

We ordered 3 gluten free meals and 1 non gluten free meal and all 4 meals were delicious. It’s hard to find somewhere with a good gluten free choice but this place had a good choice.
The fish was perfectly battered and cooked well. The chips were lovely and soft and the portion sizes were really good and we will definitely be returning again

Over for a weekend away. Best fish and chips I have had in a long time. Also tried my partners gluten free nuggets, the batter was superb. But also, staff knowledgeable on gluten free and super friendly. Highly recommend. Will be back tomorrow 🙂

Daughter is Coeliac, food options were great, not only did she love it but we all did.
Separate fryer for the gluten free food, served all day everyday.
Friendly service, beautiful food. Highly recommended and I don’t write reviews normally.
Dog friendly also so we could all eat in which was fantastic.

Went to Southport and found Xanders fish and chip restaurant. As I am Coeliac I was very impressed with the gluten free menu. I ordered the regular fish and small chips with peas and a cup of tea. I was also offered the gluten free vinegar. The staff were very friendly

We have come down for the weekend, never been before and popped by and the food and service was perfect. The staff was lovely, I would definitely recommend this fish bar if your passing x

My husband and I went for lunch at Xanders. We both had the chop suey roll and chips, with a side of fruity curry sauce. Everything was cooked perfectly, everything has a nice flavour, the chopsuey roll was nice and crispy on the outside and was nicely filled. The chips were nice and crispy, the portion size is really good. This is the first time we have eaten inside the restaurant, we normally order for delivery. We will definitely return soon and will tell friends and family.
