This is a great little pub just up on Caunton Road. Food is absolutely delicious; would highly recommend the Steak and Stilton pie if available as a special. Service is first class and the staff were genuinely warm, welcoming and very professional. Well worth a visit.

We were a group of 20 for Sunday lunch Positive communication beforehand. Everyone was very happy with their meal. Great quality and beautifully presented. The staff were welcoming, and served everything with care. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. We had a great time. Thank you so much to the team!! X

Called in on the way somewhere on a Thursday evening, couldn't fault it at all. Staff really friendly and attentive... pie, mash and peas absolutely delicious. All in all, one of, if not the best pub meals I've had in a very long time. The chef even came round asking everyone how the food was and for feedback, which was a nice thing to do. Would highly recommend if you want great hearty food and friendly service. Thank you :)

Stopped for a drink but ended up having a lunch - scampi and fish & chips. Large fish portion in light and crispy beer batter - recommended. Plenty outdoor seating if the weather is good.

Absolutely beautiful👍 waitress was very lovely an so accommodating, such lovely manners you don’t always get.. food was excellent we had steak and the gammon really enjoyed it! An I’m very fussy 👍

They managed to fit us in even though they were really busy and we hadn't booked. The Sunday roasts are amazing and generous portions. The staff are super friendly too

Stopped off without a booking. Got us in even though they were expecting a busy evening. Blake the chef greeted us at the table asked us about our day recommended a couple of dishes ( the salt & pepper sticky chicken starter 😋)welcoming and friendly as all the other staff was too. Fast service no waiting around. The food was amazing especially the baked creamy stilton mushrooms top marks for them. Literally the only critic I have was the steak and ale pie was a little salty for my taste but left nothing none the less 😋 would defo recommended and will return

Called at this wonderful little place on speck, not disappointed at all. Steak was the best we've ever had, cooked just to our liking, very tasty and good pportions, chips were great so was salad with nice dressing. Lovely onion rings, mushroom and baby tomatoes. Absolutely lovely meal. Staff were very welcoming, pleasant and friendly. Cannot fault at all, will be visiting again.
