We stayed here the night and had the room which allowed dogs. We recieved a warm welcome and the room was lovely, stylish, clean and comfortable. Was lovely to get into after a days walking. It was also generous with shampoos and tea etc. We went down for dinner early with our dog but were told we could not sit in the restaurant part because of the dog. Instead we had to sit at the high tables in the bar which was a little irritating. However the carvery was lovely. We slept well however the room was quite warm to begin with. The shower was really easy to use and powerful too. However I would maybe recommend having somewhere to put the soap! We got up early and the chap who greated us was lovely and made an amazing breakfast. Overall the appearance and food of this place is great I would highly recommend. :-)

I stopped here for a meal on Friday night (14/7/17) and had a lovely meal with my wife. The food was lovely. Our only complaint would be not enough sauce on the sticky toffee pudding! It was also very nice to have someone playing the piano as we ate. All too often restaurants have a piano as an ornament. She played a good selection of music, for the young and "young at heart". Thank you to the pianist for a very enjoyable evening.
