Seng House

Having eaten from both Chinese restaurants in Donington a few times before making my decision. I actually prefer the authentic Chinese taste from Seng House, the spicing is on point for my taste palette and I find the Thai approach at Sunlight sometimes too sweet and less spice for my liking. The portion sizes on most of the dishes are fantastic. We’ve had the odd meal that hasn’t been as good but we can’t expect perfection everytime. If you’re looking for good Chinese food at an affordable price then look no further.

Tried them for the first time since living here (always used sunlight across the road). Got to say the food was a lot nicer and the customer service is lovely. The lady at the counter is very sweet, even put down her own lunch to take my order when I startled her by accident. Very impressive Chinese and cheaper than sunlight.

Excellent take away again. We don't live in the area but travel to make a day out so we can incorporate going to Seng House every month. Chicken and chips meal lovely, good portion size, well cooked and tasty. Same applies to Singapore Chow Mein . Place looks slightly run down but don't be put off by this and can't fault the service and food.
