Famous Farmshop

This is a good place for a quick stop break.Loads of parking.We have visited this placed several times over a number of years and have noted a lot of improvements.Firstly, the decor has improved but one area still has a large number of outdated pictures on the walls. These do remind you of a bygone age but my personal view would be to remove them. However, the ladies toilets are definitely improved by the redecoration .The facilities are locked, so you have to make a purchase before using with a code on your receipt.This is a really good idea as the facilities are much cleaner and kept in a good state. The cafe is set up to protect you from Covid with tables of four all well spaced out etc . Plenty of space in the aisles etc. It is set up as a help yourself cafe.Collect a tray, select cakes etc and then order drinks and hot meals, rolls etc at the other end . There is an area to collect sugar, sauces etc. The waitress brings your hot meal calling out your number on the receipt. When you finish your refreshments, you can walk directly into the adjoining farm shop.Which sells fresh vegetables etc . This place is good to stop off at for quick refreshments and a break. I love their custard pies/cakes and cannot resist buying one as they are large and delicious. They have a good menu of basic food which serves the customers well.
