A really nice, welcoming inn full of character, away from a town and with plenty of parking. Quite a nice selection of beers, and a lovely menu with plenty of choice. I took my son here for his 17th Birthday meal and he recommends the Ribeye steak. I had a turkey roast dinner, which was delicious, although not enough on it's own portion wise, so I added extra options. Not the cheapest menu, but very tasty. Staff are polite & friendly One thing worth knowing, download their app, great rewards, not silly points, actual free stuff...my pint of Peroni was free ... would've given 4.5 if there was the option! 😎

We only stopped off for a drink as it was a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon. We sat outside with our dog. Lovely to see they provided dog bowls for water and a jar of dog treats on the table at the entrance. Inside looked lovely, fairy lights all round the tables in the bar area. Had a look at the menu as we thought we'd return one day for a meal. We liked the look of quite a few options on there. Will return for sure.

Been a couple of times now and staff are always so friendly. We visited with our 1 year old (and his toy farm animals!) and everyone there were really welcoming. Great pint of Guinness too!

We booked a large group meal for a work-related event. Service and food was excellent. The lasagne I had was probably one of the best I've ever had.

Been twice after how impressed I was with my first visit. The food was top notch. Good selection of draught beers, lagers and ciders. Service was impeccable. Nicely decorated. If someone was to ask for any negatives. Then the only issues I could see maybe the toilet's were upstairs so someone with accessibility issues may have problems as I am uncertain if a disabled toilet was downstairs and in a few areas it was dimly lit which wasn't fantastic when reading the menu. However I just used the torch on my phone to overcome that issue.

Beautiful old pub, dogs are welcome in the bar area. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is good and quite a varied menu compared to other places. Well worth a visit, I have passed many times and not stopped, regret it now. It has a large Carpark, large outdoor eating spaces and loads of space inside. There’s a open fire in the bar that feels as warm as a blacksmith’s furnace. Give it a go you won’t be disappointed, download the app and get £20 off a meal.

Delicious, well cooked food and a pub that caters well for dietary allergies. A group of 6 of us drove a distance to meet at a central point and really enjoyed the Nightingale. Staff were attentive, but also allowed us the time to enjoy a long lunch; - no rush on having to vacate the table. Desserts really lovely and imaginative, again catering for different tastes/allergies. All staff were friendly and helpful and the manager very much on top of things. Thank you for a great lunch!

Absolutely lovely find! Pass this place occasionally but thought I and my friend would try it. It was fantastic, staff, especially Sam was bubbly and friendly and the food was excellent. Lovely ambience and will definitely be coming again. If you haven't been, definitely try!

Well we had to wait almost 1 hour for our food, many people had to wait there was only 2 people serving running round like headless chicken's. I don't know how many people in the kitchen but at a busy time you need more people on. Food was good no complaints there .
