Back again at one of our classic Pakistani restaurant! This time we went for the small tavah platter which includes chicken wings, chicken tikka, sheekh kebabs, chicken Karahi, chips, naan and rice! First things first, this was just the perfect amount of food for 2 people - the portion was very generous. The platter was packed with a good variety of options and hands down, one of the best platters we’ve come across in terms of flavours! The chicken was marinated and grilled properly and the curry was packed with a great level of spice.

Straight forward, simple decor with straight forward, simple service.
Completely unpretentious and lets the food do the taking. For me though, that's why it isn't quite five stars.
Food is good, but not spectacular. My achari chicken was way too salty for a start. But the rest was perfectly fine.
One final point is that the open kitchen means the smoke from the cooking fills the whole restaurant. It gets a bit acrid and your clothes might just stink.
But it's a good, honest restaurant that is great value for money so give it a whirl

Ever since I moved locally this has been my go-to dining destination. This establishment prides itself for providing authentic Pakistani cuisine which I can 100% confirm it does. So I beg you not to confuse Tavah for your typical anglicised curry house because it is something far better.
Having eaten in mostly, I can safely say the interior is kitted out wonderfully, looks amazing with well spaced seating and some booth style seating. The service is quick and efficient, and just remember that this place does not provide alcohol which in my opinion is great because I can enjoy the food much much more.
Food wise, where do I begin? I almost always tend to order the Tavah platter dishes as they provide the best bang for your buck in terms of value for money vs the variety of food you get. This thing comes loaded with rice, chips, naan, curry and some grilled meats and vegetables all wonderfully presented on a large sizzling tavah dish. It is truly a sight to behold and one which I strongly recommend you bring your friends for because it really is a crowd pleaser.
Everything on it is delicious and nothing ever goes to waste. They are always happy to tweak spice levels depending on your guests tolerances and willing to make minor changes to improve the dining experience. Many of the other side dishes such as the samosa chat and the karela curry I would also highly recommend as they are super tasty and should not be overlooked.
I also recently ordered their whole lamb for a party and my goodness how incredible it was. It arrived all wrapped up in foil and was still steaming hot. The lamb itself was stuffed with rice and had been marinated in a special spice mix for 24 hours providing some of the best lamb meat I've probably had. Not to mention this thing has been roasted with a ton of mixed vegetables. It went down so well that it was practically finished by the end of the evening. So if you're able to get enough people together, the whole lamb is something that I would massively recommend. What was even better is that they provided the plates, utensils and cutlery which shows true professionalism towards catering for the masses and not just for diners in their restaurants. So if you need catering services with a bit of added spice, then Tavah is the one for you.
Anyways, I could write a whole essay about this but I won't. My recommendation is to go visit this place, because if you like something different to the boring bland Indian curries that litter our high streets, then I beg you to try Tavah, you won't be disappointed.
We had the chilli paneer & Tavah platter, great food and service. The small platter was still alot of food for two people! Favourite thing was the Karahi chicken.
Authentic tasting pakistani food, nice decor, great hospitality, and well priced. The owner sets high standards, which are translated into the food and service you get. A must visit place. Oh, and the desi tea is hands down better than the well-known chain...
A must try if you want authentic Pakistani food. We’ve been craving a real comfort curry for weeks now and looked at about 20 places on Google before deciding on here. Just over an hours drive for us and worth every mile. You know the foods good when it’s got that tantalising shimmer on top 😋
You’re well looked after and don’t want for nothing. Would disagree with other reviews regarding staff, the gentleman serving us was pleasant and kind natured.

We booked Tavah for a large-scale work event last minute after another catering company let us down a week before the event!.
Tavah were very kind and accommodating and took away the stress and they didn’t disappoint at all!.
We managed to have a good selection to offer employees.
The food was all freshly cooked just before delivery, and the quantity of food was excellent value for the price.
Everyone commented on quality and taste of the food and came back for seconds with no leftovers!!.
The event was for South Asian Heritage Month and food from Tavah was the perfect representation.
Restaurant: The moment we stepped in to the restaurant the whole place was so incredibly decorated, the staff were all very welcoming and hard working! The food was out of this world, the presentation, the taste, everything was incredible. We particularly loved the water bottle decorations 😄
Catering: as we thought the food was out of this world and every single one of our guests asked where the food was from! It was cooked fresh specifically for the event and in large quantities such that there was no shortage! We ended up with quite a bit extra to enjoy later 😂. The service from the waiters was amazing and we felt very well looked after. The guys turned up well before time and the food was ready, hot and delicious at the perfect time! I can’t recommend Tavah enough 😊 thank you for making our event extra special!!

We visited tavah for the first time today for a birthday meal and were not disappointed.
The food was absolutely DELICIOUS, well presented and arrived in a timely manner. Every dish was cooked to perfection, tasted authentic, and the portions were generous. We couldn’t even wait for our obligatory social media pic of all the food and had to get stuck straight in!
The restaurant itself is very clean and well decorated and the service was warm, welcoming and attentive. I cannot fault a single thing about our visit today!
We will definitely be returning and would not hesitate to recommend Tavah.
