Love all the mezze that I ordered and the Moroccan cocktail, the dessert was also good but the mezzes were delish and the ambience was so good, with the music & the decor!

Great mezzes. Lots to choose from. Wasn't a fan of the mocktail. Favorites were the cinnamon meatballs, feta parcels and the chicken skewers.

Loved it! Service was amazing, very friendly and helpful. Food was served reasonably quick, considering it was busy restaurant. However, we have ordered mezzes only. All mezzes were tasty, they have vegan, gluten free mezze options. The atmosphere is cosy, authentic with Asian style tables and chairs and ornaments. Definitely made nice vibe. Overall did enjoy the evening and the dinner :)

I had the most incredible experience at Al Farid in St Albans for my engagement party! Azi, in particular, was an absolute star in helping us set everything up. From the initial planning stages to the night itself, Azi went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect.
The food at Al Farid was nothing short of exceptional, and our guests couldn't stop talking about it. From appetizers to dessert, every dish was a delightful culinary masterpiece.
Not only was Azi fantastic, but all the employees at Al Farid were friendly and attentive, making sure every detail was taken care of. They truly made our engagement party a magical night to remember.
I can't recommend Al Farid enough for any special occasion. Thank you to Azi and the entire team for making our celebration unforgettable!

Really nice Moroccan food in St Albans. There are a big variety of dishes. We have been here a couple of times and it never disappoints. The home-made lemonade is delicious. 100% recommended.

Loved everything about this restaurant! The service, the drinks, the food - AMAZING. Our waiters were so pleasant. I highly recommend the marinated grilled squid, the falafel and the lamb tagine 😋 The fesenjan tagine, not so much; maybe it’s an acquired taste but it didn’t take away from the overall great experience. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to St Albans!

Really great spot. I spent a lot of my life living overseas in the MENA region and since returning home have struggled to find really good Mezze dishes. Booked Al-Farid on a whim and not at all disappointed. Creamy Smokey Moutabal (Baba Ganouj) and the perfect Baklawa and Moroccan mint tea to finish were my highlights but it was just a pleasure to enjoy delicious, family cooked, authentic Middle Eastern food again. The Free Tabouleh and Muhammara (both excellent) was a really nice touch. We over ordered but left nothing. If I had one critique it's that shamy bread didn't come automatically with the Hummus Shawarma and Moutabal as I'd expect but what arrived when we asked was warm and delicious. Thank you guys for taking my taste buds back to my other home. Will be back to try the grills and Tagine next!

It was our first visit and we were very impressed by the service. Sorry, I'm very picky about the food and did expect more morrocan tagine flavors, but it still was very delicious and new for me. Thank you to the waiter who spoke our language with us and told us more about the place.

Best restaurant in St Albans. Moroccan food. The interior is exceptional. The barstaff was welcome to make a strawberry daiquiri (which was not on the menu). He mentioned it was his first time making this drink, but it was great.
