We visited a few months ago and were blown away by the quality of the food and service at The Räv. The decor and interior design is tasteful and relaxing; service is friendly and efficient; and the food is excellent. The soup of the day was a spiced pumpkin and carrot soup, which was perfectly seasoned and paired well with a basket of freshly-baked breads. Both the Swedish meatballs and cauliflower mains were delicious. Desserts rounded off the meal nicely.

Quaint Swedish fusion restaurant. Amazing food and service. The waitresses were welcoming and warm, the manager went out of his way to clear a table for us and our dog and baby in a pram.
The food was something special and speaking to the chef, you can see why. He clearly cared deeply about his food and it shone through. The sweet and sour cabbage and Swedish meatballs were the highlights for us.
Recommend some wines to pair with dishes to take it to the next level!

I had the best scallops ever in my life and I have travelled a lot and eaten a lot of different foods.the house desert was phenomenal too. The pastry was fresh warm and crunchy and the sorbet full of flavour and not too sweet.

One of the best dining experiences we've ever had. Firstly, very warm and friendly hosts who seemed happy to be there and made us feel welcomed 🥰. They offered us complimentary Prosecco when they heard it was a birthday dinner 🥂. The atmosphere was lovely, intimate, elegant and relaxing. The food was fantastic, beautifully presented, and offered exciting new Scandinavian gastronomic experiences. We particularly enjoyed the venison carpaccio 👌. Overall, excellent and highly recommended 🌟. Thank you to all the hosts and the kitchen staff. We had a great time 💛

We loved our meal at The Räv. Some of the best food we have had. I enjoyed the Prince squash, the lemon sole and the chocolate mousse and my partner had the scallops, fillet of beef and crowdie. Everything cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Drinks were also very good and quickly served. Everyone serving was kind and welcoming, and we enjoyed the modern and less pretentious feel. We will be back!

Extremely pleasant. Probably the best Oysters we had in a long time and the other food was delicious as well, simply solid cooking. Attentive service as well. Highly recommended!

First time visit, welcomed by friendly staff, seated at window overlooking North Street with the beautiful church. We ordered hand dived scallops, and 2 flat iron steaks with fries, with an additional house salad. Bottle of Chenin Blanc, our steaks were spot on cooked as requested, and delicious, great atmosphere and a luvly quirky restaurant, will be back next time visiting St Andrews :) :)

It was last minute booking for our anniversary dinner. I choose this restaurant after a few friends recommendations.
Having worked on St Andrews for quite a few years I somehow never visited the venue, although I did hear about the revamp. So we decided to try it out.
We decided not to have any expectations, as it can always go both ways. Having been sited upstairs we soon realised that place is quite busy on Wednesday night, no wonder in St Andrews in the summertime, but you don't feel like you sit on top of other tables. Very cosy.
Our waitress Charlie was beyond professional and it was nice to see a person enjoying her job and making it a great evening for the customers. Believe me, I know how difficult it can be int he summer.
However, the star of the evening was, of course, the food. We did have a few recommendations prior to coming and decided to follow them.
Venison carpaccio and scallops to start and lamb and duck for the main course. Portions not huge, but perfect to feel full without overeating. Topped up with a bottle of lovely Pinot Noir.
And of course, we could not miss out cranachan and coffee. Dessert served in the glass is bigger that you see, the perfect combination of taste and flavour as well as freshness and crunch. The best part: not too sweet. Topped up with good, not bitter coffee. Having been working in few places and having barista training, I sometimes come off as coffee snob and I enjoyed a coffee here so much ordered the second one.
And of course, a very nice touch from the team to get 2 glasses of fizz after out desserts to congratulate us with our anniversary. A small gesture that takes an evening to top marks.
Will definitely be back soon.
P.S Will not going to post any photos as they already do a good job of taking great photos of their food. And mine is just not going to be as good .
