Was with a party of 6. Place was clean and welcoming. Staff courteous and friendly. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for food was because of the vegan lasagna I ordered wasn't in my opinion that special Andi couldn't finish it. However the salad, garlic bread (and my son's onion rings) were spot on. Everyone else in my party were 100% happy with their meals (all meat or fish dishes). Would definitely go back and try a different vegetarian meal.

Very quiet for this lunchtime we called. We found the table surface to be undulating and made our drinks spill as they wobbled. Will have to call in again to get a better feel for this Pub, but everything was as it should be.

Nice pub, staff friendly good choice of beers. Had a little food, chicken wings, cheesy chips. Spent the afternoon playing pool. Definitely call in again.

Haven't been here for many years (we moved out of county) and a friend wanted to meet up for food, so I chose here for accessibility for a pram, and closeness to everyones accommodation. Booked in advance, and they took in my comment of needing space for the pram. Food was delicious (and my plate was huge!) and the dessert was thoroughly enjoyed by all, especially the baby. Will definitely return in the future. Friendly staff who are attentive and helpful.

What a beautiful place to stop and eat, the staff were wonder tidy and polite. Service was fast, food was hot and very tasty, the price was very reasonable, plenty of parking with disabled parking and access along with disabled toilets, tables wide enough for wheelchair and with table service it's great. One point, all the tables were reserved due to quiz night, but they found a table for 5 of us.

Decent pub, dog and child friendly inside and out. The service was fantastic, did not have to wait long. Good portion size for meals under £20. We visited around 6/7pm, not too busy round that time of day. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a table full of water, bowl and dog biscuits. Good parking spaces at the back, step free into the main room from there.

We received a warm welcome, it was a busy Sunday lunch, staff were friendly. We had a carvery plus ordered from the menu. The roast dinner I had was lovely, very generous portions, and all the food was hot. Particularly good roast turkey and pork and the roast potatoes were perfect. Couldn't fault anything .

Highly highly recommend, came here with 3 pugs and were given an amazing welcome by the team who told us where treats and dog bowls could be found for water. My husband and I both had chicken burgers which were great and puddings were also great. If you’re a dog owner and looking for somewhere to eat/drink then I highly recommend you come here. If we’re ever back in St Austell we will definitely be back in.

Had the most amazing Sunday carvery! Terry who served us was so kind and friendly. He clearly takes great pride in his work. We would visit again for another Terry carvery

Visited for the Sunday carvery & was not disappointed, food was lovely & Terry the chef doesn't scrimp on portion sizes either. Really nice pub/restaurant that's great for families & welcomes dogs too.

Best carvery ever! Potatoes were so good, nice range of veg and such a friendly host at the carvery station. Dog friendly inside. Would definitely recommend booking a table. Prices were great, we paid £11 for just a vegetable carvery and £14 for a meat carvery but there were also options to preorder veggie alternatives to meat before you arrive (wellington or nut roast at the time). Vegetable gravy available on request. All the staff were very polite and friendly. Free parking at the back of the pub but you may struggle to get a space depending on the time. Outdoor and indoor seating. Would highly recommend.

We were there for a wake, so it was a little subdued in our area, but we couldn't fault the staff, very attentive to our needs. We had a buffet laid out for us, but the family and I decided on eating from the menu. Able to run our meals and drinks onto a table, and we were informed of our number up front, ordered from the table after that. All very good.

What a lovely, friendly pub. We were well looked after and the food was excellent. We all had something different, it was served piping hot and they were very generous portions. Very dog friendly. Will definitely come again, would highly recommend to anyone.

I have been a customer at the Holmbush for many years and it has never failed to deliver on all fronts. Got to give a special mention to Anna, though - a fabulous lady on the staff there. Her customer service is exemplary and a real credit to her. Her overall attitude to customers is professional and also refreshing - making you feel really welcome and valued. A real assett. Thank you Anna.

Decent food at sensible prices with some good deals. Can be quite busy so booking might be worth while. Dogs are allowed and well looked after with water and treats. Only slight downside was service for food was a little slow on both occasions but it was fairly busy.
