I was a baby in arms when my Mum and Dad first brought me here. A regular stop for our family, and I remember my Dad, Clive Keam, having many a conversation (shouting Cornish banter) with Rex, back in the day.
Still the BEST fish and chips around with fantastic portions! It's lovely that the family are still keeping it going. Now I bring my kids here ❤️

Traditional fish and chips i was here on the 14/3 as i was working down here. The fish was absolutely huge cooked to perfection. Ladies behind counter really welcoming Keep up the good work. Ps the person that gave a 1star review because of parking! Come on mate thats got nothing to do with the food no need for it. I found parking quite easily. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️for me

Coming back from the royal Cornwall COVID jab site ! Me and my wife thought we would have some fish and chips at the old forge cafe and wow they were THE best I have had for sooo ! Long , friendly people and excellent fish and chips ? Yes I will be back ? Please keep making high quality fish and chips please!!!

Best fish and chips bar none anywhere nearby. Never had better. Friendly and local. Eat in avaliable and is the best option. Good portion sizes.

Awesome place! Well worth the 10 min drive from St Austell.
Extremely friendly staff, great tasting food, good choice of food including kids options. Neither my wife or i could finish our dinners - and i have a big appetite.
We will certainly be back for more. Thank you to the staff for making us so welcome.
