We had a party of 16 people for a birthday. The staff were amazing from the day of booking, when we got there we couldn’t have asked for better service. Everyone had a friendly face, a positive attitude and overall amazing. The food was outstanding, best steak I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back!

After a 6 HR journey we fell across this wonderfully inviting inn at 9 pm
I asked if they were still serving and they were eager to oblige
The food was made fresh for us and was delicious

Lovely pub, about 14 of us arrived at once. There was an issue with the plumbing in the kitchen, but when the food came out it was great.
Proper old pub, pool table and sport on the tv.

Friendly pub serving good food. We called in unplanned on a walk. There were16 of us and there was a little wait as expected but we all enjoyed our meals - especially the chips! Well done.

Sunday lunch at the white lion and I was very impressed. Good honest home cooked food, great service in a friendly atmosphere, and at an unrivalled price. Highly recommended

We called in after visiting some local CADW sites. It was a fairly basic menu but rather fancied the cooked breakfast, so ordered the Lion and Cub versions.
It took a while to be cooked but was worth the wait; but what a lot of food and it was delicious. We didn't touch the bread and butter that came with it as we were pretty full ... nor could we manage a dessert.
The place was good, local customers and landlord very chatty & engaging and thoroughly enjoyable food ... what's not to love? Comes hightly recommended and we look forward to returning.

What a find for a Sunday dinner! We were lucky enough to get a table despite not booking. I would however recommend booking as they get really busy. Food was lovely and very well priced

Really good old school pub. Great value food that really hit the spot.
We went when there was a rugby international on, even so we had no problem finding a spot to eat.
Staff are really friendly and helpful.
There should be more places like this around.
