Used to bring my Dad in here years ago but not been in for a few years.
Was in St Helens so decided to treat myself.
Still lovely food, still lovely friendly staff - there's a real "community" vibe to it. Like being amongst friends.

By far the best fish chips and mushy peas I’ve had in a long time. Would very highly recommend them. Very friendly staff.well worth a visit. Wish they had a shop in Northampton as they could teach them how to make perfect fish and chips

This is one of the best Chip shops we have been to, the tiles around the walls etc gives a really old fashioned chippy feeling.
The Cod with batter plus chips were really fresh and beautifully cooked, mine was served with really tasty gravy, my wifes with lovely Curry, and all served by the friendliest ladies.
We have been to many chips shops over god knows how many years (including Rick Steins in Padstow - we think he should come to this Chippy and see proper Fish and Chips being fried and served with far better pricing...

These lovely ladies do the best fish n chips in town. The staff are always cheerful and ready for a chat, followed by a huge plate of traditional grub with a good strong mug of tea. Couldn't be better !

Probably the best cafe in St. Helens. You always get a warm and friendly greetings apon arrival. The food is prepared and cooked fresh. Great potion sizes on the deals. If you require anything don't hesitate to ask.

I used to love this chippy when it was Huxley's, then George's Plaice. I'm a fussy eater and everything was just right for me back then. The staff are always lovely and the service is good. I went back last year for the first time in a while and unfortunately the mushy peas aren't as good as they used to be (they're bright green now), so I probably won't go again. :(

Absolutely by far the best fish and chips in st Helens. The staff are so polite and always welcoming! I love everytime i walk in and get the best greeting. Overall, the best chip shop in St Helens!
