Absolutely brilliant coffee shop. Exactly the type needed over here. Amazing quality coffee every time. Proper baristas who care about what they deliver. Had the mozzarella toasty, absolutely delicious. The staff are so friendly. The vibe is great. Art on the walls. Everyone welcome including child friendly. Great to sit outside and arch the world go by.

A hip new coffee hangout! While visiting Jersey we stumbled upon this awesome little spot. Upon walking in I was instantly captivated. From the artwork and styling to the friendly staff I was hooked. The Merchants is so very different from the stodgy and often times stale coffee shops that we had already visited in St. Helier. It was... refreshing. It was easy. The music was literally coming from vinyl records!! I mean how freaking awesome! We ordered a drip and a masterfully done pour over and settled in to a comfy corner in the back. Upon sitting down one of the baristas brought us a couple of glasses of filtered water while we waited for our order. Who does this? No one... certainly not here in the States! It's the small things like this that make the magic happen, an acute attention to detail. Our coffee arrived at out little nook and as it was being set down the the barista explained what coffee we were about to partake in including the details of tasting notes that we should experience. What?! Again... details. Talk about feeling like a celebrity. Each coffee came with a little card explaining what, when, where, and how it was processed as well as those handy little tasting notes. This is The Merchants. Attention to details... even the smallest. The Merchants isn't just another coffee shop amidst many -- It's an Experience not to be missed. Great job guys! Keep up the great work!!

The food was delicious, after me and my sibling finished our food and delicious hot chocolates we explored the vinyls, Snail Mails new album was a good find and we looked around and found a portal to a world filled with sweets and treats and bunny rabbits with funny hats but unfortunately my sibling got deathly ill eating poisoned treats and sweets from the candy vinyl world and i had to say goodbye to them. This was at no fault of the cafe however and our time at the actual cafe was amazing

New gem in St. Helier, offers expertly prepared Dark Arts coffee, and a selection of hot chocolates, and teas. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and happy to help or have a chat. Lots of artwork, vintage vinyl, and quirky furniture to purchase as well!
