Had a lovely meal with our 3 kids, went in early 5.30 and table booked put again at 7pm. Waitress was fab, attentive to children, burritos were first class. A brilliant authentic experience ! Small restaurant adds to the intimacy of it all, a little bit of Mexico right in St Ives.
I got lucky here and snagged a table without booking but I recommend booking on busy days as it's small place. The service was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, perfect nachos, and seafood fajitas were bang on. I may also have had a margarita or two which hit the spot.

Cosy, friendly, something different. Margaritas were good although they were served in metal glasses that looked like surgical instruments. Small menu which covers the essentials. Chicken burrito was better than the beef which had too much sweet BBQ sauce in it. Plenty of sour cream. Overall good va
Lovely little restaurant. I have been coming here since I was a kid and the food is still as good as ever! Staff are very friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend the burrito!

I would just take off the pomegranate seeds to be 100% more Mexican but I feel it gave the colors for the dish.

Very cosy restaurant with the best Mexican food my entire group and I have ever had in our lives. The service was very fast and accommodating, and our waitress was extremely lovely. Would absolutely recommend, make sure you book a table beforehand!
Good Mexican food is hard to find in the UK, but The Mex certainly hits the spot. My partner and I enjoyed delicious starter dishes and mains, but ran out of space for dessert.

I went here with my husband. Our meals were delicious. We only had main courses and that gave us was plenty of food. The restaurant was cozy but wasn't too crowded at the time. Friendly service too.
Brilliant restaurant. Food looks and tastes wonderful. Two vegans in our party has dishes adapted for them and both really enjoyed them. Wonderful, friendly service.
We were very lucky to get a table (definitely book ahead). The staff were warm and welcoming (the owner had to deal with a particularly difficult customer and handled it really well). The food was excellent!
