Smiths Cafe

Proper cafe with a good quality of food especially good breakfast and brunch. I visited in October 2022 and I did call to make a reservation but it wasn't actually necessary you can just turn up. The service was excellent I had a full English breakfast and my girlfriend had a bacon sandwich. I would have liked one more rasher of bacon for £5 I would expect more than one in each half in the sandwich. The full English breakfast was excellent, apart from a slightly overcooked sausage. Both meals were good quality and was a really well made and not budget. I also had a bloody Mary and some fresh orange juice which again was excellent. Nice location looking directly over the road out to sea in St Leonards. Good coffee too.

We found this little cafe while on our way to our holiday destination for the weekend. The food was delicious and big portions for the prices absolutely brilliant. The traffic was a nightmare so the gentleman (think he was the chef) took the time to write down different directions to our destination so we didn’t have to get stuck in the traffic again. The female waitress was fantastic too both very friendly and easy to talk too. When we are back that way again we will definitely be back for more delicious food. Thank you

Had a delicious lunch looking out at the sea on a glorious day. The staff were patient and cheerful when we moved tables and started causing chaos. Two of had the delicious avocado and tomato salad, the other two had eggs on chunks of tasty granary sourdough. I didn't spot any vegan options (might be wrong), but I'm sure they would have left out the mozzarella if I'd asked. Would definitely go again.

Have been going to this place for years now and have never been disappointed. Food is always amazing fresh and very high quality. Can be a little busy at times but just shows its a very popular location in high demand. The owner Richard is very nice and friendly and always makes me and my family feel very welcome... Keep up the good work :)
