Popped in for a midweek lunch, after seeing the off season £10 (2 course set menu) offer on Social Media. Portion size was really good, and we had no complaints about the food. We had the homemade soup to start, then Roast Chicken and linguini for mains, followed by fruit crumble & custard. £15.50 for 3 courses!! Service was very good and the place was very busy which added to the atmosphere. The regular menu looked really delicious, but those prices were obviously more expensive, however am confident the standard would be equally as high 😀

Stayed locally for a few nights and popped in for food with low expectations as its a pub chain. My goodness were we wrong! The food during our 2 visits was extremely good. The Mackerel Pate, Brie starters were a sensation to the taste buds. I cannot recommend the Fish / chips and Roast Pork belly enough. They were so tasty and presented beautifully. There was a lovely choice of outdoor seating with views to France and of the English Channel. Th k you Coastguard for being a highlight of a lovely cheeky little break by the sea.

One of the best things we did during our London vacation was take a day trip to Dover, and the Coast Guard Pub was the perfect ending to a fantastic day. We rode the train from Victoria Station and toured the castle in the morning. At the recommendation of the helpful castle staff, we then hiked the awe-inspiring Cliffs of Dover to the town of St. Margaret's Bay. There, we had dinner at the Coast Guard Pub. A little chilled from the windy cliffs, we started with curry soup, which was freaking delicious. While famous for their fish and chips, we just ate them the night before. Instead, we learned that since it was Sunday, their menu featured a British tradition of a roast with crispy potatoes, root vegetables, gravy and Yorkshire pudding. That’s what they’re realty known for. We also enjoyed a variety of UK craft beers, and our waitress even arranged for a taxi to take us back to the train station in Dover. The service, the food and the view at the Coast Guard Pub were each more spectacular than the other.

First visit and highly enjoyable. Tucked away at the edge of the famous Dover white cliff edge adjacent to the beach. On line booking easy to navigate from the pub web site. The food was delicious, staff helpful and friendly, great selection of beer, cocktails and wine. Would highly recommend.

Amazing Pub! We sat in the clean outside seating area, overlooking the sea. The staff were friendly, attentive & very professional. The food was lovely. Fish & chips with mushy peas was beautifully cooked. The Coastguard are members of Brit Stop...we took a chance at being able to stay overnight in their carpark in our camper. Best to pre book and overnight stay as they only allow 5 campers. We fell asleep to the sound of the ocean...we will definitely be going back and can highly recommend 👌

I went to this place to eat before going to white cliffs of Dover. This place gave me a warm feeling even though the weather was cold. I didn't made a reservation but the waitress gave us a table but she mentioned we have only 1,5 h before someone reserved the table, ar first I thought that's enough time, but the food was ready in 20 minutes and I gotta say, the best fish and chips ever. The entire pub has a beach & pirates & ships vibe. The place has enough space for parking. Highly recommend this place!

Visited here a few times now and every time the food has been absolutely gorgeous. Service is excellent. If you sit outside there are excellent views across the Channel. Inside is cosy. Will always go back.

One of our favorite places for a Friday afternoon pint and views of the bay, went recently for Sunday Roast and the food was great.

Have visited on a few occasions now and have always had a good experience. This time was a little different, and the experience was out of this world! We booked 18 months ahead for a pre-wedding dinner for our son and daughter-in-law and was not disappointed, from the pre planning communication between myself and Kelly in relation to the menu's all the way through to the amazing chef's who done a fantastic job and not forgetting the servers who delivered the food to our tables. Our group of twenty-one people left feeling happy and full. Thank you to each and every one of you for an amazing evening. You went above and beyond to make sure all ran smoothly for us. We'll be back soon for another delicious meal.
