We enjoyed possibly the best oysters we have ever had followed by Sunday roast. The service was exceptional - competent, friendly and very personal. All together it made our day quite special.

Popped in to browse through the cocktail menu. Tried a couple and thoroughly enjoyed them in the bar area. Lovely furnishings throughout and a very pleasant place to spend your evening relaxing. Unfortunately we didn't have time to book a meal throughout our stay but would definitely have also eaten if we could have as the menu looked very appealing!

I called by for a drink, and light meal, and it was their Five O'Clock Happy Hour for oysters! So I happily ordered half a dozen, washed down with a Jersey gin and tonic. The oysters were slim and delicate ( possibly the Fine de Claire variety), and served appropriately with light vinegar sauce and lemon. They had a strong sea flavour and very satisfying. Although eating on the terrace would have been even better ( it was full) the interior was sunny and well lit and furnished. So the next time you're visiting Mont Orgueil or Grey call into the Moorings Hotel for at least a drink-- it was quite classy and relaxing. And try to catch the Oyster Happy Hour.

Would definitely come back here. Booked on a whim about 2 weeks prior. Loved the hotel, it has a great vibe from the moment you walk in. Great views over the harbour and beach. Lovely restaurant.

We ate in your restaurant on the eve of Thurs 20th July. Seth and his team of girls could not have been more helpful and attentive. Your ‘a la carte’ menu offered a wide selection of choice - tricky to decide - I loved the fish soup. We both had steaks which were tasty and perfectly cooked and presented. A special surprised arrived at celebrate my birthday - how thoughtful. Thank you all for making my day so enjoyable and memorable!!! Ps thank you Amy for helping with parking issues. My husband, 1 year old son and I absolutely loved our stay at The Moorings. Matthew & Eselyn greeted us upon our arrival and showed us to our spacious, comfortable and beautifully-decorated bedroom. The food was also immaculate as was the service. Mirren was particularly wonderful, as well as Seth, Connie & Virginia. We’d highly recommend The Moorings to anyone travelling to Jersey.

We went to Mont Orgueil Castle and I needed a bathroom, I asked and they immediately told me to come in and directed me to the bathroom, I fell in love with the service people. Then we went in to buy coffee, bread and a banana split, everything was so delicious that I had a taste for more! I'm just in love with this place. Come in quickly...

Possibly the friendliest and most welcoming staff in any restaurant on the island. The food is of the best quality and having now eaten there on multiple occasions with several people, there has never been a starter, main nor dessert that has disappointed.

- Good rooms. In summer rooms maybe hot since no airco. - Nice small harbour village with a few restaurants. Most of them we tried and we liked them all, including our hotel. - Owners and staff were great, nothing was to much to please the guests!
