Had an incredible seafood pasta here. Sauce was amazing, and all the fish was high quality. I've been here multiple times and all of the other menu items are incredible.

Had the take away fish and chips. Overall pretty good. Good piece of fish and large chips was indeed v large. Batter v slightly on greasy side for my taste but onion rings v tasty. Service friendly and prompt.

Best chips we've had in a long time! Just disappointed we couldn't fit in the fish - but that's partly because portions are generous. So you can't complain about that.

Just what we needed after a long journey from the Midlands. Large fish and chips and a kids portion for my lady. Delicious, massive fish cooked to order. Highly recommended 👌

We booked early at 6:30pm mid week. We were greeted very pleasantly and shown upstairs to a table. The restaurant was already half full. The service, however was slow. The server omitted to to tell us about the special . The menu had a heavy bias towards fish which we expected but seemed rather pricey. When the server arrived , I asked about the special, which was sea bas on a bed of mashed potatoes, with a decoration of green bits for £24. Unfortunately the ceiling is low & the floor is hard, so the result is excessive noise. There was a party of raucous young men and as the restaurant filled up, the noise got worse. At times I struggled to hear what my husband was saying across the table.
The food was piping hot and mine was nicely presented. My husband had battered fish & chips, the chips served in a chipped enamel pie dish.
When the bill arrived, my meal was £28 not £24., I could not be bothered to quibble about it, so we paid & left. Overall I think it’s trying to be trendy, without succeeding., without enough attention to detail. The staff were barely coping & we’re running up & down stairs. There was only one server with help from a young man downstairs. For the size of restaurant, this is inadequate. The prices do not justify the quality overall & it felt like “ rip off the tourist” time in a short season.

I got to say I don’t understand the negative reviews, I just took my family out and dined here, I was so thankful I didn’t take any notice of the bad reviews as my experience was absolutely fantastic, the food was amazing, cooked to perfection, and very tasty, the staff were very attentive and friendly, the manager went out of his way to make our visit one to remember, we will definitely go back again

I'm telling you one thing so listen up.. this is the best fish and chip shop in Cornwall and probably in the UK.. chips are thick cut and beautifuly cooked onion rings are to die for... Cod is so fresh it winked at me.. mushy peas are not to my liking but that's just personal preference. Just watch out for sally the seagul she knows they are the best too!

Moules mariniere on point. Delicious sauce and really excellent mussels. A wing of salmon served with capers, a tasty vinaigrette and thinly sliced buttered bread was also agreeable. We were looked after very well indeed - a delightful experience, capped off with a generous platter of local cheese and a fabulous home-made brownie. Would have been four stars, but a star lopped off because the lavatory facilities were not impressive - need a good clean - sorry guys, details count.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Clean and bright premises. A good choice on the menu with a few specials too. The food was excellent and cooked very well. Little touches like a bowl for the waste after shelling prawns and another with water and lemon to clean fingers. Well worth the visit.
