A warm welcome from the lovely staff and excellent food - the celeriac chowder was to die for! Also had triple cooked chips and salt & vinegar squid, absolutely delicious! We will return, if I could give it 6 stars I would

We visited the watch house on the first night of our holiday. The food was so delicious that we ended up visiting twice more on our week long trip. The fish was beautifully fresh, excellent wine, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We couldn’t recommend more highly eating at this lovely restaurant! The online booking system on their website didn’t seem to work for the week we visited so best to call to book.

Had the take away fish and chips. Overall pretty good. Good piece of fish and large chips was indeed v large. Batter v slightly on greasy side for my taste but onion rings v tasty. Service friendly and prompt.

I'm telling you one thing so listen up.. this is the best fish and chip shop in Cornwall and probably in the UK.. chips are thick cut and beautifuly cooked onion rings are to die for... Cod is so fresh it winked at me.. mushy peas are not to my liking but that's just personal preference. Just watch out for sally the seagul she knows they are the best too!

Had an incredible seafood pasta here. Sauce was amazing, and all the fish was high quality. I've been here multiple times and all of the other menu items are incredible.

Food was still lovely, but I had to drop a star from previous as the greeting we had upon arrival was a grunt and a point to a table. Lovely new face serving us though, looked a bit 'gruff' but gave some excellent advise. Will still go again next year, just think that staffing is light on the ground at the moment

Just what we needed after a long journey from the Midlands. Large fish and chips and a kids portion for my lady. Delicious, massive fish cooked to order. Highly recommended 👌

Great food, in fact it was gorgeous, really nice staff. Enjoyed every second. There was a really shy young waiter on his first night there who was nice. Saw him a couple of nights later with his mates and he stopped talking to them to ask us if we enjoyed our meal and evening. That was such a nice thing to do! Thank you for a lovely time The take away chip shop is really nice too. ❤😊

We booked early at 6:30pm mid week. We were greeted very pleasantly and shown upstairs to a table. The restaurant was already half full. The service, however was slow. The server omitted to to tell us about the special . The menu had a heavy bias towards fish which we expected but seemed rather pricey. When the server arrived , I asked about the special, which was sea bas on a bed of mashed potatoes, with a decoration of green bits for £24. Unfortunately the ceiling is low & the floor is hard, so the result is excessive noise. There was a party of raucous young men and as the restaurant filled up, the noise got worse. At times I struggled to hear what my husband was saying across the table. The food was piping hot and mine was nicely presented. My husband had battered fish & chips, the chips served in a chipped enamel pie dish. When the bill arrived, my meal was £28 not £24., I could not be bothered to quibble about it, so we paid & left. Overall I think it’s trying to be trendy, without succeeding., without enough attention to detail. The staff were barely coping & we’re running up & down stairs. There was only one server with help from a young man downstairs. For the size of restaurant, this is inadequate. The prices do not justify the quality overall & it felt like “ rip off the tourist” time in a short season.

Wow, what a catch! We stumbled upon what appeared to be a gem of place. Was it busy? Yes, booking is advised. Were the staff cool? 2 out of 3 weren't bad; one guy really wasn't a natural. How was the food and drinks? Absolutely amazing! The Seafood Linguine and Cod Curry were incredible! The children's menu was superb, too. Kudos 👏

Best chips we've had in a long time! Just disappointed we couldn't fit in the fish - but that's partly because portions are generous. So you can't complain about that.
