We are an Italian family who lives in London. We came to visit Cornwall and thanks to the good reviews we decided to stop and eat in this amazing restaurant! I think it was the best food we have eaten in the UK! So congratulations to all the stuff because we had a very positive experience! All was good, good, service, etc 5 stars ⭐️

The food here is amazing! And the team are lovely. It’s a bit loud inside but the outer covered area is quieter if needed. They were absolutely amazing at catering for gluten free (I am a coeliac) and almost everything on the menu was gluten free. They even brought out the flour to double check I could eat the brownie. Really recommend this place for shared food. Little bit harder for vegetarian but the menu is always changing so it may be different next time.

We came at lunch time during a very rainy day and it was the perfect meal to brighten up our day. Fabulous, inventive dishes, packed with freshness and flavour. Ingredients are really treated with the utmost respect here. Huge congratulations to the chef! Each dish was so unique, we can't wait to come back to try more. And we could bring our little dog inside (I think only at lunch time though).

We came for a lunchtime slot in the sunshine and couldn't have asked for a better meal. Incredible atmosphere (great music!), very attentive and knowledgeable staff, all complimented by an inventive, creative menu. A huge fan of the heavy native Mexican influences running through the menu - cocktails are heavenly and the turbot & mole dish was other-worldly. The absolute BEST eating experience we've had in 25 years of coming to Cornwall

Absolute gem; cannot express how good the food was here. Between two of us we had 6 plates in all and experience so many different flavours and new foods all for a reasonable price. You would expect to pay a fair bit more for the quality. Staff were also extremely friendly and welcoming. Must have; courgette (if it's on the menu!)

Incredible food - creative, flavoursome and contemporary with refined local flavours. Impeccable relaxed and efficient service with outstanding cocktails. This place is a MUST visit for people wanting a genuinely high quality experience that comes with an informal vibe. Future legends to watch! Someone recommended Duchy Grub as a place to get into before the crowds discover it, and oh boy were they right! This place won’t stay off the radar for long. The food is fantastic, the restaurant is lovely and the couple running it are charming. The food was fresh and exciting with interesting twists. Ancho (Mexican chilli pepper not the fish) and lime pollock ceviche was outstanding. As were the muhammara mussels with pickled chilli and coriander - quite the most interesting bowl of mussels I’ve ever had. Scallops with seaweed butter (adapted for us as we don’t eat meat and the dish was meant to be scallops con carne with a pork topping) were sublime. Literally everything we ate was delightful. I hope we can get a table next time we visit north Cornwall.
