Good traditional fish and chip shop. Friendly, helpful staff. My only criticism is that the external signage is not easy to see at night.

Very disappointed. Anaemic poor quality chips and overcooked, very greasy fish. Not exactly large as we had ordered. Shame as had always found it good quality.

Wow wow wow is all we can say. My wife hasn’t been able to have a fish and chips since 2019 when she was diagnosed as a celiac. And not only is it amazing tasting but one of the best fish and chips I have ever had. So fresh tasting. The batter is so crispy (how do you do it) Beautifully wrapped and presented. Catherine your amazing thank you so much. We will be back for sure very soon.
We have to support brilliant businesses like this that just go that extra mile as we are being taken over by big chains that really don’t care about there customers it’s just all about churning it out as fast as possible with no real care. Thank you thank you thank you :-) can’t recommend enough.

We were having a family gathering and needed a gluten free delivery service peak time Friday evening. We phoned our enquiry on Thursday evening to see if we could be catered for and placed an order at 3pm Friday. The delivery at 6pm to Buckden was on time, even with road works and busy A1. The food was excellent, I actually thought the medium fish were for two and realised my mistake when I had so much left over😂 2nds all round! Curry sauce delist and everything well wrapped and still hot.

First time visit last night and the food was awesome, and my fist time in years having fish from a chippy visit. The slab of cod did not disappoint. Food was amazing,all cooked fresh and very friendly polite staff 👌 will be visiting again soon

Brilliant food! I've never been dissapointed by the food at Cox's. It's not greasy, it's well priced, and there's lots of choice. Not only that, but they really care about their customers. There's always information about the products they are using, and explanations for the decisions they have made. In addition to this, they care deeply about our community, getting involved and trying to help out where ever they can. Keep it up guys!

First time in a long time that we had some fish and chips and it was fantastic. Generous portions, superb quality and super-friendly service. We ordered in advance online, which was a breeze (excuse the lighthouse pun) and we are definitely rowing out for another catch soon (excuse the fishing pun)

Really easy to be able to order on-line, put in a time you want to collect the food and pay for it in advance.
The skinless /boneless cod was just perfect, light crispy batter, the fish was beautifully cooked and was not overly greasy. Fish cakes were good too and the chips were bloody lovely! Everything was piping hot.
Both my husband and I said that this is definitely the best fish and chips that we have had in a very long time!
The shop is spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly.
They also do some splendid looking cakes and have gluten free food..they really to cater for everyone.
I would highly recommend this place without hesitation, the food is great, the ethics to which the fish is sourced is something you dont see in most chippies and it clearly has very high standards..what more could you possibly want.
