Really good pub. The food is very good, just the pub classics but really well done. We had a steak pie swimming in gravy and very well made, and burguers that were gorgeous. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. The food came relatively quickly. The price is very reasonable. Will come again

We found this lovely little place by chance on our way to London. Feeling extra hungry, we ordered the mixed starter deal (4 starters for £20) as well as our mains. The starters were much bigger than we expected and we were practically full before the mains came out. The main menu is fairly standard

Stopped mid cycle ride. Good beer, excellent food, had 4small plates and a ploughman's. Expecting average portions, but huge. They were more than happy to box up the extra that we couldn't manage. Very much recommended.
One of the best Sunday roast I have had!! Being asked how we like our roast beef is unusual (we have ours well done) certainly the nicest beef I have had in a very long time, service was attentive without being intrusive and all the staff were friendly and pleasant. The prices were very reasonable.
