Really good pub. The food is very good, just the pub classics but really well done. We had a steak pie swimming in gravy and very well made, and burguers that were gorgeous. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. The food came relatively quickly. The price is very reasonable. Will come again.

We were in Buckden last weekend for a family celebration. We had a family buffet (about 20+ of us) on the Friday night and the food and service were absolutely brilliant! We also had breakfast there on Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings! The breakfasts have to be the best I’ve tasted! Fabulous butcher shop sausages and bacon and just the best ingredients all round. And all served with a smile! They do a very good vegetarian breakfast too! Can’t recommend them enough!

We found this lovely little place by chance on our way to London. Feeling extra hungry, we ordered the mixed starter deal (4 starters for £20) as well as our mains. The starters were much bigger than we expected and we were practically full before the mains came out. The main menu is fairly standard "pub grub" options but the starters were fantastic. Sadly no room to try the deserts this time but I'm sure we will be back to give these a go soon enough.

Stopped mid cycle ride. Good beer, excellent food, had 4small plates and a ploughman's. Expecting average portions, but huge. They were more than happy to box up the extra that we couldn't manage. Very much recommended.

One of the best Sunday roast I have had!! Being asked how we like our roast beef is unusual (we have ours well done) certainly the nicest beef I have had in a very long time, service was attentive without being intrusive and all the staff were friendly and pleasant. The prices were very reasonable. Will be returning as often as I can.

What niche place. A family friendly and pet friendly hide out. Parking available around the back, with outdoor sheltered and open seating and indoor dining. A bustling community hub. Everyone knows everybody here. A very chilled and relaxed environment. Good program of sports available to view indoors. 3 page extensive food menu- with a small section of meals for children. The meal portions are huge. Food is delivered piping hot, and the service is excellent. Managed to get the kitchen to agree to my bizarre request of food this afternoon- platter of fried cod, scampi and calamari. I was ecstatic that they delivered! - “thank you George- he works incredibly hard”. (The pictures speak for themselves). Free WiFi inside with 2 slot machines and a music box for entertainment. This is the heart and soul of the village. Definitely recommend this dime of a spot! The vibe is chilled and cosy. - don’t pass by without stopping by here!

Tonight is our second visit to the Vine in 6 weeks because we were so impressed the first time! The food is delicious, good value for big portions and lovely service. Thank you!

We had a very enjoyable 7 year old's birthday party. Not expensive, catering to 24 children, masses of food available, staff efficient and inobtrusive. The children were catered for in the marquee, and there was room in the garden for a bouncy castle. All the youngsters were very happy and some parents took advantage of the bar.

Quick late lunch (3pm) at The Vine on our way home. Quick and good pub food - we had a selection of small plates, which came out very fast. Service was excellent.
