Chop house has a great atmosphere which makes any occasion, though definitely bring your glasses as the menus are tricky to read in the low light but if you do the normal of already perusing the menu before hand you'll be fine. The food was flavourful, tender and well presented, pork ribs were a good size plus the posh fish and chips were a nice lighter option compared to the normal, my frustration was when I ordered the chicken wings the waiter warned me they were spicy which excited me but my hopes were dashed as the wings that I received though tasty were only hot in temperature not in spice, still better than the calamari as that was chewy. Dessert option there was nothing that really excited me. Wine of a good quality (zinfandel rose) and the staff were attentive never let our drinks get low also friendly. We would recommend this place and visit again its a good option for a more modern relaxed style meal in town.

Had an early supper at the chop house. Went for the sirloin with blue cheese sauce and a side of mac and cheese. Staff friendly and polite well looked after. Desserts very good I would recommend the apple tart although the macaroon was great. Will be back soon. Thanks Went on Saturday and decided to have a different steak I went for Sirloin this time. Excellent service and great quality food. Mac and cheese old school and cheesey. Tried the house salad which was very refreshing. To finish the Apple pie flambée great time. The only trouble with google is you can only do one review of a place you visit. Went on the 5th August for an early supper great choices on the £12:50 menu and decent portion sizes. There is a lot to choose from and again great service. It was a 60th birthday dinner and we had main courses Rib Eye and Corned Beef Hash. When it came to paying the bill the manager said the desserts were on the house “Awesome” a noce touch to end the evening. We arrived at the restaurant at 6pm and it was packed so booking is advised as they were turning people away, that says it all.

Staff were really good, the owners or the people running this place were very welcoming and friendly. We really enjoyed our meal here it was really great quality and so were the staff. I would come back here to eat for sure but it can get very busy as well, having said that we were there for the busiest on record Island games week. great atmosphere as well
