Very friendly nice vibe pub with live music and food. Monday night was surprisingly busy and I enjoyed the very tasty pizza. Tuesday they had a great live singer but the kitchen was closed but they still offered good burgers from their neighbours which I enjoyed. Wednesday they had more live music and a nice vibe. I'd definitely recommend this pub for a visit, seems a good place

Visiting to try the ales this is a decent pub with good (well trained, polite) staff and decent guest ales and appears to live up to reputation of being one of the better pubs on Gurnsey Visited on a Saturday Kareoke night during one of likely busiest time slots, loved the atmosphere which was lively and friendly, pub style is a classic farmhouse white beam and oak and has three floors of seating with a pool / snooker table downstairs and a small outside annex at the back as well as an upstairs snug. Staff excellent and we're professional, polite but social and patient to customers. Facilities well kept and clean. Didnt try food hence the 3 star rating but there did seem like a good selection of pizza / burger / other pub foods which go with the drinker pub evening style. Overall worth a visit if you like ales as decent staff, good ale condition and atmosphere - I visited late afternoon on beginning of September and the atmosphere was very welcoming and lively, the food itself is pretty good (from the pizzas I tried) so recommended

Nice place inside but if you can't cope with big screen TV as well then that spoils it a bit. The beer selection was good but the bartender wasn't that familiar with them so couldn't really help. Live music on a regular basis so all in all a good pub with lots of potential for decent nights

Best pub on the island. Hidden away but worth the climb. Guernsey's best guarded secret lol ;)

I'm sure Tuesday nights used to host The Baroque Band, but now it's Open Mic. I made the mistake of buying the only singer/guitarist we heard a pint after he sang 'Dirty Old Town,' which didn't improve his performance... Unusually, no Marstons (Burton) ales but the Jersey brewed Liberation was excellent and the food also very good. Staff friendly and helpful. A great pub, this place and the Rockmount make me miss Guernsey.
