Lovely traditional pub, obviously well cared for with a very friendly lady serving who was happy to have a chat. We called in the evening after having been to a nearby restaurant. Pleased to see a couple of cask ales on, one of which was a local brew. I tried them both and they were both excellent so the landlord certainly knows how to keep his beer perfect. I imagine it would be a great place to watch live sport. Decorated with loads of interesting football and rugby (only union though not proper rugby, league) flags. Overall a great pub.

Great pub. The girl behind the bar was lovely and made us feel really welcome and chatted to us while it was quiet. Shame we didn't discover it earlier in our holiday so we could make a return visit.
