A truly authentic 1940's themed tea room with a great atmosphere and an amazing menu! They have a really good selection of homemade dishes and even better, they have a very tasty selection of, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free too.
Nothing is too much trouble and they made us feel very welcome, the moment we walked in the door.
The Carrott cake here was superb, if a bit over priced. But that may be down to the fact that English Heritage run this tea room now.
Amazing experience having lunch in his authentic 1940’s tea room. Some old time classics on the menu (and the radio), lots of memorabilia to see/read and food and drinks are very reasonably priced for the quality they serve. If you’re passing you should pop in as you won’t be disappointed, this is now firmly on my favourites list.....best lunch for miles!
Went to the 1940's tea room for dad's 85th, wonderful place, fab food, very attentive couple, they couldn't do enough for us. Lots of 40's memorabilia around for you to look through, read if you want to, mom and dad had a fantastic time walking down memory lane, games on the table if you want to play ( which we had great fun doing) topped off by a little cake with candle in it that the staff had organised without us knowing. A very big thank you, we shall be back 😁
Epicurian quality! We really enjoyed our lunch at the tea room, fish pie was delicious, sandwiches very nice and cake amazing! Stop by and enjoy!

By far the best breakfast you can get and run by the nicest people... Always takes care of my girls especially the one with severe food allergies... Can't recommend here enough... 😁😁😍😍
