Good food, good beer and friendly service in a pleasant and distinctive pub at a very reasonable price. Visited in April 18 and still good.

Fancying an afternoon pint we dropped in here and were very pleasantly surprised by the wonderful reworking of an ancient building and the warmth and enthusiasm of the landlord's wife Dee as she showed us around. This is a micro brewery selling various refreshing bottled fruit beer and also Samual Smiths draft ales at under £2 a pint! (january 2013). Stamford is very well served with pubs and it is a brave move to invest money on a new venture but with brewery tours and a perfect mine-host welcome this place deserves to thrive. Give it a go, history brought bang up to date.

An excellent range of local beers and spirits. Don't expect any brand names here but do expect some quality ales. Nice little courtyard outside. Highly recommended.
