Holt's dark ales are unmatched for balance and taste.
The buttermilk chicken burger was a tasty plate of food, and at £3 a pint or a half-litre bottle, washed down with a choice of delicious dark ales. Good, busy, attentive, efficient staff too. I'll be back.

Had their firecrackers chicken. Right amount of spicy. Chicken is cooked perfectly and served in massive chunks. Service was on the medium to slow side. Portions are very massive. Overall I'm happy with the food

Lovely place for just a drink or a meal. Very good menu with plenty choice. Outside courtyard to sit and have a drink weather permitting old flags on floor so care is needed especially for elder and those with mobility issues. Food is delicious and staff very helpful.

Great service frommthe staff nothing too much, ambience ok was a Sunday night so slightly quieter, internals done to a good standard with seating, bar stools etc. Recommend a visit..

Small menu, but it is a drinkers pub. Went specifically for the cheese and onion pie. Served with chips and beans. Its superb. One downside? MR Selfish stood on his phone in middle of bar all night so barmaid had difficulty serving people.

1st time we've been here, won't be the last. Food was lovely and all five different meals came out hot and all together. Nothing left on the plates.
Nice clean pub/restuarant, toilets nice and clean. Prices were very reasonable. Will take photos when we next visit.

Decent pub with plenty of (cheap) beers. 3 pints only £8.70!!!
TVs can be a bit loud when trying to hold a conversation.

Lovely Christmas day lunch. Great food and friendly staff. Thanks for looking after us especially as we were a big party and had two children with us. Only one thing could we have pigs in blankets next year please?

Secluded, Fantastic, slightly upmarket feeling pub/gastropub. Renovated in recent years. Fantastic value for money. Very cosy, large menu with both typical pub and higher quality food. Big bar, loads of beers and harder stuff. Quick service. Great and friendly staff. Awesome outdoor rear areas with great shady or sunny spots. Smallish private, high quality car park to rear, with narrow entrance. Highly recommended going for lunch during a quiet day when it's not crowded.
