Thank you for making my wife's birthday meal so special last night. We all (6 adults and one toddler) felt very welcome. Friendly and relaxed service with fabulous quality - the scallops and fillet were stunning. We were especially grateful that you went out of your way to fulfil my daughter's request for an off-menu sausage (which she loved), and that you let us bring a cake (next time we'll try and book early enough to order one of yours). A delightful evening for all of us. We're very lucky to have a place like this in Stansted.

Not very easy to park, especially being disabled. Parked by the castle, 2 hrs free parking.

Dropped in here for lunch after a visit to the castle. It was very quiet at midday on Saturday but suspect due to COVID.
To be honest I was a little suspicious of the Google rating. Too good to be true for the prices on the menu?
Well the waiter was very polite and helpful. The interior was smart and clean. The food was excellent. The moules frites, fish of the day and chicken were really impressive. The chef did a superb job. Desert was excellent too.
They were very happy to do anything on the menu as a child's portion too.
So does it deserve its Google rating? Absolutely. Highly recommended.
We recently visited the lower street brasserie for my wife’s birthday as we were tempted by the extensive fish options when looking at the menu online.
The dining experience was excellent, we were greeted by friendly, attentive staff and seated at a spacious table. The service and quality of the food and drinks served up, was superb.
Our order included both fish and meat options, followed by wine, cocktails and coffee.
A very relaxed evening and atmosphere, with a very reasonable bill at the end. We will definitely be going back in the near future. A real gem of a find.

So lucky to have this fabulous restaurant in the village. Great food and lovely owners. We have spent so many family celebrations here, its the best place to go for lunch, dinner or private parties.

Just had one of the best meals we have ever had. The food was amazing and so tasty. The steak was cooked to perfection, the Lobster and Dove sole where soft, tender and delicious. The vegetables were cooked to perfection to. The selection of wines are great and the service was above five stars. Highly recommend and will be coming back again. Best meal we have had in along time.
Had my 60th birthday celebration last night with friends and had the most wonderful evening. It’s always a relief when you invite your friends to a restaurant and you are served top quality food with a smile. All credit to those working there and the young waiter and waitress who had to put up with our noisy group, glad I tipped them well. This restaurant is very lovely and has excellent food, I would certainly recommend a visit.

Delicious food, wonderful service and the owners could not go to more effort to make sure you have a memorable time here. It’s a must if you live in Essex!
