My first visit whilst on a walk along the Exe estuary from Powderham to Cockwood. I just had a cappuccino so cannot comment on the food. However the cappuccino was very nice. Obviously being a takeaway it was served in the usual cardboard cup. The facility is situated in a public car park and adjacent to the cycle and walking path. There are a few benches nearby which can get busy on a warm day in the main holiday season.
First visit. I passed it on my cycle ride to Exeter quayside then when I found out that the Boatyard Bakery was closed, was glad to stop off here during the return leg back to Torquay. Well organised coffee shack with plenty of seating. Lovely people, super friendly. Fantastic coffee. A proper flat white, a rarity unfortunately. Good selection of baked snacks covering both meaty and vegetarian and vegan. I skipped the cakes but they looked fabulous. Faultless really. The perfect mid-cycle stop off.
This is a handy little stop in a stretch of the estuary where there isn't much in the way of refreshment, and with vegetarian options, too. But the veggie scotch eggs were truly awful, and unfortunately that's the one thing that has really stuck in my mind. Sorry guys i did like your little cafe otherwise, and was glad to find it for a breakfast stop.
Worth five stars? I think yes. Given that's it's a kiosk in a car park, the coffee is consistently good and the savoury snacks interesting and tasty, with the added bonus that you can take your cuppa, cross the railway tracks and sit admiring the estuary views while watching the wading birds. Nice.
Lovely coffee, tasty cakes and friendly service in a nice spot alongside the railway line and river. Outside seating only.
Delightful coffee shack, lovely staff, nice coffee and the fruit cake was delicious.
Oh and free dog treats which I can confirm are tasty. Woof woof grrr.
Delicious coffee, lovely staff. Thank you!
Best coffees this week. Muffin and fruit cake (with juicy cherries) absolutely delicious. Very pleasant and efficient staff, well worth a visit. Pity it's so far from home (Worcestershire)
Teign Bean Dawlish Warren is a lovely spot with beautiful toasted paninis and Nia was very helpful
I am a regular here and the service is always friendly and warm and the coffee is second to none. Honestly the best cup of coffee you will get for miles and it is a destination place to get your coffee rather than a passing stop. Cannot recommend enough
