When on tge East Coast its got to be fish n chips, passed this place many many times going on days out yo Filey or Scarborough. Lovely staying and surrounding, great staff service, food very tasty freshly cooked to order, very reasonable price too, defo a return visit in order

Very welcoming atmosphere, service is absolutely brilliant with friendly staff. Darren was fantastic and made us feel like VIPs. This guy deserves a pay rise for the outstanding way he treats customers. The food was excellent, cooked to perfection, the crispy bubbly batter wrapped around a fresh piece of Haddock was to die for. It's been a long time since I have tasted perfection 👌. Thank you for the wonderful time and the greatest service and the best fish and chips in a long time. Will definitely be back again and again.

Arrived here after a busy day visiting Scarborough and Whitby. Hadn't found anywhere in those places for a lovely traditional sit down fish and chips and pot or tea meal. We were then lucky enough to find Harper's a few miles inland from Scarborough. Wonderful food and service. A real find, if we lived nearby, would definitely go again. Lovely friendly staff and very tasty food.

I have drove past this restaurant for years but usually have my dogs with me. On this occasion I was traveling with my mum and decided to have tea there, it said award winning so I thought that’s got to be a good sign. On entry we were greeted by Darren and he explained we didn’t have to pre book and asked us to take a seat. The Layout in the restaurant is very good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Darren was straight over to take are order, so polite and courteous and within minutes our food was on the table. The sign was accurate the food is award winning beautiful white cod, the crispy batter was delicious. We ordered small but I had to clarify as the portions were big. Lots of delicious chips, condiments already on the table and tartare sauce complimentary. Pot of tea for two we really enjoyed this experience. I also noticed behind restaurant was a busy take out service, and some tables outside so even if I am traveling with dogs I could still enjoy the delicious fish and chips. On the way out we was asked if we had enjoyed our visit and yes best fish and chips for a long time, and such great service, nothing was too much trouble.

Eaten Fish and Chips from Harpers post surf many times. Always good food and good service. Particularly like the home made fish cake. I wanted to praise the staff in the takeaway on Saturday 30th March in the afternoon the food was fresh and great. The young woman serving had great communication and was kind with an elderly man who needed a bit more time Well done

The service from Darren was as normal very good. Normally the fish is nice and fresh but yesterday it seemed like it had been kept warm for a while. This however will not stop us going and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Pleasant, warm, comfortable roadside cafe on two levels, no road noise, has a take away as well. Plenty of space between tables. The important bit, lovely light batter on the fish and descent mushy peas. Descent portions even for seniors!

Excellent food and service as usual. Cleanliness of some items on the table should be checked. Salt and pepper pots had Dried food particles on them. Plus the ladies toilet area needed cleaning. Otherwise very good.
