A pub like no other . If you like a quirky atmosphere , delicious home made food , served on mismatched plates, lashings of bread and butter , heaps of salad , gallons a of soup , beautiful English flowers and old world charm ... well you couldn't find a better place . If you like butter pre wrapped and stingy portions of tastless cheese , and chips , please go else where .

We didn't eat, but the food looked amazing. Beautiful quirky setting. Lots of wild floors. Little corners for you to sit. Cash only.

Quirky authentic English pub. Two entrances, one to the bar and one to the other bar! 🤣, Open between 12 and 3pm. Real fire makes it welcoming on a cold day, squish together on the benches and get to know the locals. Owners very welcoming, we sat next to their family members and had a lovely chat, been in the same family for 90 years or so. It was the chaps 80th birthday. Dogs welcome. Homemade meals on the menu, we had rare beef sandwiches that were very plentiful, along with locally made wine (surprisingly good) and beer from kegs (again, very good). CAMRA. The pub is filled with memorabilia, outside you could purchase plants for charity, you could even purchase old pennies! There are lots of nooks and crannies outside where you can huddle in your groups and enjoy the gardens. Need to take cash as no cards taken, plus the toilets are in the building over the lane from the pub! Thankfully, the toilets have loo roll rather than authentic cut up newspaper! Highly recommended, a very hidden gem that takes you back in time.

Village pub with good beer from the barrel and tasty, satisfying food. Warm and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly locals (and their dogs), in a quiet and secluded country setting.

I like old pubs, but this is something different. It’s tun by the same family for generations, so if you are into history, you will love this place. Food is locally sourced and delicious albeit simple, same goes for beers and ciders. Highly worth a detour off the beaten track.

Been here many times. Great atmosphere. Good beer. Pubs run by two sisters, it's been in the same family for nearly a hundred years. Real old fashioned pub, full of history. Anyone local knows of the Harrow. Take note they don't take cards, cash only. You won't be disappointed.

Lovely old pub, nice pint of light and hoppy and really good traditional pub food. Friendly service and beautiful garden to sit in. Something a little different

I love this place. It's tiny but it's a genuine olde English pub that's been in the same family for 90 years! I love the fact that they've got tiny menu because the food they serve is excellent. Arriving at 12:30 on a busy Thursday lunchtime, I was disappointed to find that I'd missed the last portion of quiche but subsequently delighted to find that my second choice, the cheese and pickle sandwich was so impressive that I had to insist that my three companions tried it! For the record, they were all impressed, too and, between them, insisted I try the ham and beef from their ploughman's lunches. They aren't open all day, every day, and they only take cash, but they're good people, so I can't begrudge them for that. Outside, they sell flowers and vegetables to raise thousands of pounds for charity!

Perfect country pub for good weather - since the interior is quite compact but the gardens are extensive. As well as serving local ales and cider the pub also has a menu of excellent and largely home made food. Very friendly and helpful staff. I almost feel like not recommending this as it’s the sort of place you don’t want to become TOO popular. During our visit we were joined by a very friendly robin after some free food. Lovely.
